From Vyttila turn towards Pallimukku-- drive 3.5 Kms.
You will reach Medical Trust Hospital Junction.
Take Left towards Thevara. Travel 2.1 Kms.
You will reach Vikrant- Venduruthy bridge.
You will cross over the Channel, should see ships on the right side berthed along the jetty. After the bridge, Naval Base will come to your right side.
proceed straight. After 1.4 Kms beyond Naval Base, you will small Traffic island sort of thing (unmanned), near a Railway crossing. Do not cross the railway line.
Continue straight along bristow road
You would see a Check Post/ Toll plaza after about 1 Km.
Continue straight (at about 2 Kms from Toll plaza), you will reach a junction.
Take left and after 100 m, take right at the next junction.
Continue straight for another 1.3 Kms and at the end, take left to reach Taj Malabar and the jetty next to it

I was rather hoping the meet would be starting at around 3:30 to 4 PM.

Quick update- the bridges from kundannoor towards BOT bridge jn is now motorable. Work is still underway. It is just motorable. Don't expect a non stop, non hassle drive.

Anyone who wants to avoid the SA road and MG road traffic routing via Thevara, can consider this route also.
If coming through kundannoor, drive straight all through crossing both bridges and continue till you reach the T junction at the end. Around 6 kms from kundannoor.

dhanush, I was planning to take this route. But, having seen the condition of the bridge a few weeks back, I was a bit hesitant.

The condition of the bridges a few weeks back was a far cry from anywhere near motorable. The update I gave was as of yesterday.

Coming from kundannoor, I would take the bridge. Where as, coming from vyttila, I will come through MG Road

I believe that the time for the meet is at 1530 as planned earlier. For foodings, except for taj malabar, I think we will have to hunt for something. However, I don't think it would be so hard to hunt down anyway
