Amit ! We are also planning to start on saturday early morning and Patchyboy(Rajan) had given a tentative plan for us, Bangy guys on page 11 in post#155. As of now yourself+Patchyboy+khan_sultan+condor+rajeev & co 2 elantras+myself are the guys who will be starting on 30th early morning.

So, i suppose your ride is all ready with you already having done the Goa stretch on it if i am not wrong.

As per PatchyBoy's plan for the Blore guys (other than your group), they aim to be at the resort at 1PM. Since this is a group of people driving down, there are bound to be delays here and there and so I have added a 1-hour buffer and asked for a check-in time of 2PM at the resort.

So, the Chennai gang (atleast most of them) would assemble at TIDEL Park around 11AM and after some intros & chit-chat, we should set off to Pondy at 11:30AM, which should see us at the resort around 1:30PM or so. So, you guys can come to TIDEL Park (easy landmark) as per schedule above.

I think 11AM departure is too early,SB.
Lets plan so we can reach Pondy by around 5 or sunset.
Personally, Id like to drive the East Coast Road after 4/5 when the temperature is cool enough to drive with the windows open.
Moreover, a planned agenda can help us decide the time even better.

That would be my preference too. And also of most Chennai guys, I guess. And that was how we had initially planned it, when we were expecting this to be a chennai meet.

But with quite some Bangy guys joining up, these timings would not be comfy for them, as they have a lot more driving to do than us folks. So, a 5PM to 5PM thing might not work for them, I guess. Especially with having to go to work on Monday.

BTW, don't tell me your Esteem doesn't have airconditioning. :-)

We had a meet yesterday night to discuss agenda for the Pondy meet and it was felt that we should keep most of the sightseeing stuff for Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday, any leftover places can be covered or members can just spend time at the resort and adjoining beach or try to recover from the massive hangover from the excesses of the previous night.

So basically the tentative plan looks like :

Saturday, 30-Aug-2008 :

2PM - Check-in at resort, go to rooms, freshen up, take some rest, checkout the resort, the beach, grab something to eat etc.

3PM - Leave for local sightseeing (details to follow in another post)

8PM - Return to resort. Start the party.

Sunday, 31-Aug-2008 :

Spend time at the resort itself or finish any remaining sightseeing.

Have lunch and checkout by 2PM.
