He ordered this part 58111m67k00 on the recommendation of a local denter guy instead of ordering 58111m79f00. Are these parts the same or completely different.

I want to make sure he does not get fleeced.

Please help.
No both of them aren't same. 67K00 will be of newer wagonR, facelift most likely. Better visit any MGP store, ask for the manual and order correct parts as per your need once the front end is dismantled.

Regards,
Shashi

I am not sure if you will be able to procure this via MGP.

However, you should easily get them by specifying the vehicle make at a popular store nearby you who deal with special tools.

Few months before, I got one for my Diesel Ertiga:

Something like this should work for you.

Re: Maruti Genuine Parts (MGP) Catalog: Post your queries here (model list on Pg 1)

Model Name - MARUTI 800 F8D
Variant - DX 5 SPEED
Part Required - Drive Shaft (Front LH)

Part Number : 44102M843A0

Maruti ASS guys are saying that this particular part is not in production nowadays, so how can I get one for my car?

My other queries are :
• Is it possible to get this from old stocks via MGP stores?
• If yes, how much will it cost?
• Are the drive shafts of regular F8B and 5 Speed F8D different?
• Is there any other brand which manufactures drive shafts for M800 F8D?

Attaching a picture from parts catalog for reference :

Correct part number would be: 99500M67L01-74E. Try ordering at MGP store. It's not listed on Boodmo.

Regards,
Shashi
Just an update, I tried ordering the Service Manual from my nearest MGP store, they checked and told me that it is out of production now. So I guess, I will have to rely on someone who already has a Service Manual.

Also, seems like the Vaccum Cleaner+Tyre Inflator from Maruti has become very popular. Almost all the dealerships near to me are running out of stock.
And when I tried ordering it from a MGP Store, they said that such a part number doesn't exist ( Part No:-990J0M99923-060 The Analog one).
They told me, the digital one was listed in their ERP but not the analog one.

Abhishek.

My recommendation, get something from your local tools store. However, if you still are interested in MGP Tools, part numbers are:

09915M47310 OR 09915M47341

I have used the first one and its not very effective. Grip is very weak. So if you buy it, do check it once.

Yes driveshafts for 5 Speed 800 are long gone. When it was about to be discontinued, I stocked one set for my GG.

Ask your MGP store to check nearby for live stock, if they have anywhere then you can procure.

Another option is, these were made by GKN Drivelines, so you can procure in aftermarket too. Aftermarket part numbers were:

10001023 DRIVESHAFT F8D RH MPFI
10001025 DRIVESHAFT F8D LH MPFI

Yes driveshafts of F8B and F8D are very different and not interchangeable. Only GKN remained it's supplier for the entire life.

BTW What's the issue with your driveshafts?

Shashi

Hello Shashi,

Model: Alto Lxi

2. Lower arms
3. Rear shock absorber

Re: Maruti Genuine Parts (MGP) Catalog: Post your queries here (model list on Pg 1)

Hello Shashi,

I have a 2016 VITARA BREZZA (ZDI+ if that matters) and was trying to order a set of floor mats from boodmo. The mats both floor and boot ones are listed on the official website as compatible accessories for the F/L 2020 model and would like to know if it would still be a suitable fit for the pre-facelift model. A casual call to two different dealers yielded 2 different answers. Any insight towards this would be highly helpful.

Thanks

Parts -
  • All Weather 3D Mat - 75901M85SG0
  • Brezza 3D Boot Mat - 990J0M82PA3-020
  • 3D Dickey Mat - 990J0M82PA3-030

Hello Shashi,
I have a 2011 SX4 ZDi Diesel, run 1.59L kms. Apart from AC service, all the services have been done at the A.S.S; as I plan to keep the car for long term.

The A.S.S has given me the following estimate along with the part number & labor cost. It would be really helpful if you could look at it & check if the MRP is correct.

P.S - Your M800 thread is a Bible on car care!

Hi! This photo is from the old Alto brochure.
I take that these are wheel covers? Or are they alloys?
Are they available or only for the brochure photos? Were there any MGA wheel covers for the Alto?

Model Name- Swift
Variant- ZXi 2010 model
Part required- Speed sensor (I guess this is the part to be replaced for a speedometer that has stopped working but not sure about it).

Part Number: 34960M79F00.

This part is common in Alto, Swift, Wagon R and Zen Estilo cars of that time.

Note: Please confirm the diagnosis with a competent mechanic, before purchasing the part. Maybe some cable or connector could be faulty.

Shashi - need your help yet again!

I bought the wipers for my first gen Dzire VXI (21"/19") last week at the MGP store and fixed them yesterday. However, the sweep area seems to be wrong and it's missing the lower driver side portion of the windshield!

Is this the correct part I was given by MGP store ? - 99000M24120-852 WIPER KIT (DR+AS) OL

When I check on Oriparts, what i see there is:
38100M75J10 WIPER ASSY, WINDSHIELD

What are the standard sizes for 1st Gen Dzire wipers? And what are the dimensions of the wiper pair that you bought? Are they same when you measure their length, 21/19?

If yes, then they should function as normal as your old wipers. However, when you say it's "missing" lower driver side portion while sweeping, this really won't have anything to do with the size (length) of the wipers unless you have actually removed the wiper arms, refitted them a notch above it's standard position.

A notch lower means it will leave a patch on the RHS of the driver side and a notch higher means it will rest at a higher position but also may end up brushing the windscreen beading on the RHS side.

Finally, if your wipers are shorter in length, you will notice a triangular patch in the lower center of the windscreen that is not wiped.
