Thank you so much! I will try boodmo first, and if they don't have it, will try with MGP stores/dealers.

Do 5PK and P4Z differ only in colour, or is there any other difference too? Boodmo has an image for P4Z (its description also says "part number discontinued by manufacturer", but not for 5PK, hence bothering you again.

Cheers,
Vikram

5PK is black, P4Z is grey. Also both the links which I have given are open. M75J00 is discontinued, M75J01 is open. Also the pic on boodmo is just representative. I recommended boodmo because if the part is useless for you, they have a refund and return mechanism in place which is as efficient as Amazon.

But if your car is under warranty, better to use what's being provided in the SVC. Insist for 75w90 only.
I better get it done in FNG with your suggestion.

Also, Shashi I was wondering if Axle boot maintenance is part of Maruti regular service protocol. Book does not talk anything about it and since I am nearing 40K now, should I go for boot cleaning and lubrication ?

The Axle grease for Maruti is OEM I suppose. Can you kindly help me with it so that I can walk into MGP store in Hyd and get it ordered if they don't stock !!

Axle boot requires no maintenance unless it's torn. Just keep an eye over it's physical condition and you are fine.

Re: Maruti Genuine Parts (MGP) Catalog: Post your queries here (model list on Pg 1)

Not sure if you can provide this, as this is not part of the car list you have indicated.

This is for the 2nd Gen Dzire VDI. The cover for the cabin air filter is what I am looking at. One side of the locking panel broke when I tried to change it earlier and have been using it like that ever since, and hence would like to replace it. It's a plastic part, like a scale with locking mechanism on the two ends. Would you know the part number by any chance?

I have already replied to this query of yours some time ago:

Direct replacement isn't available. So you will have to take a risk. Else, you can look for the part at scrapyards/from salvage cars.

Re: Maruti Genuine Parts (MGP) Catalog: Post your queries here (model list on Pg 1)

I have a question on the warranty for MGP components.

I have a Baleno that is in warranty and 1 year old. It is the Alpha model with the HID and DRLs. About 6 months ago my bumper got damaged and there was a minor crack on one of the headlamps so it was replaced at MASS.

Now, the DRL on that assembly is not working, and MASS refuses to replace it under warranty as it was replaced after the purchase of the car.

Should this not be covered under the overall warranty of the car, as it is an original part installed by MASS? Is there any warranty for the spare itself?

Are there any technical/service contacts at Maruti or Nexa that I can escalate to?

The DRL itself is not critical so I am not inclined to pay 17K of my own money to replace it, however I am really disappointed not only with the lack of reliability of the original part, and also Maruti's response.

I think you are entitled for a Warranty replacement. Write a mail to Maruti and Nexa and describe your case in detail.

Shashi
