Re: Maruti Genuine Parts (MGP) Catalog: Post your queries here (model list on Pg 1)

Hi,

Please see my requirement below and assist -

Model Name- Maruti Suzuki Alto
Variant- Lxi (BS 3) Year - 2008
Part Required - I need the entire panel with the 3 Rotary Knobs and the Small AC Switch (See Pic Below)

I had a liquid type fragrance in my car and my kid turned it upside down. The liquid dripped along the knob and switch borders, and now they are stuck. No action possible. I fear they will break if i apply more pressure.

It's replacement isn't available in MGP AFAIK. You can look on amazon or paytm. If I am not wrong, the buttons have gone, right??

Kindly get it checked at MASS if its the front fascia which is damaged or the entire HVAC control assembly.

Not only the button Shashi, the entire underlying electronic set too. Everything just got broken to pieces. So, now I have only one duplicate key with keyfob intact.

So, if I ask the service station to get me a new key, will they get a vanilla key and configure it according to my central locking's PIN or do I need to get the entire OEM central locking changed ?

This does not fit the Dzire 2013 model, this is 2 cms bigger than the one in the car. I have folded the edges and pushed it in, so far no impact on the air flow so I think it would be ok.

Direct replacement isn't available. So you will have to take a risk. Else, you can look for the part at scrapyards/from salvage cars.
This one doesn't fit either, this is almost 2 inches bigger than what is required for the Dzire.

If anyone needs it, let me know and I will give it away.

Just to update here, i had written to MSIL with detailed pics of what i found online, what i could take from the front side of the engine and these part number. They responded in couple of days and assured they will help. Today the part has been received at the workshop and from the pics, it seems to be the right part. Hope things go smooth tomorrow at install

I have a first gen Dzire VXI (2009) and these are the part # for the Cabin Air Filter (Air Cleaner Element) used.
I change it every year or 10k Km.

From my last 2 service bills, I got the following information:

Element, Air Cleaner 13780M75J00 (2016)

Cabin Air Filter Swift 95861M74L00 (2017)

Model : Zen LX Carburetor Euro1 2001
Part :
1. O ring-Distributor
2. Packing-Distributor

I had checked the part numbers at oriparts.com and boodmo.com but I suspect some miscrepancy. I hope they are same for MPFI and carb models. I have the mpfi model's part number and I see they are interchangeable with the Grand Vitara and Baleno sedan.

While ideally you'll probably need to change the whole kit, I've forwarded your query to my trusted SA who I think can help. I'll revert as soon as I receive his message.

Awesome support by MSIL. Still unbelievable how there can be two different parts under the same part number.

Which O-Ring do you need?? Larger or smaller one??

Distributor packing for Carb Zen is probably discontinued. Will give you concrete info tomorrow.

Thanks Shashi. I suppose this will be OEM for DZire 2014 Dec Model. Really will say it was pure luck that it died before electronically unlocking the car. Otherwise, we would have been in deep deep problem in middle of nowhere.

There is a mild oil leak around the distributor and as per the FNG mechanic, both the O rings have to be replaced.

Re: Maruti Genuine Parts (MGP) Catalog: Post your queries here (model list on Pg 1)

Can you please give me the part number and the price for a Maruti Alto K10 (new model; 2012 and later) Left Hand Side Rear Tail Lamp Assy?

The one I have is cracked and with the monsoons setting in, I don't want any water to seep inside the reflector housing. Will buy a new one if its practical/pocket friendly. Else, Will resort to some 3M tape.
