I have got Palio D, its going to take 5.5l at the time of oil channge so I dont think 7.5l bucket will go for 2 oil change cycles.

I also want to change tranny oil this time and I'm looking for a good synthetic oil for this, can someone suggest the right choice for this? in the mean time, I go figure out the quantity I will need for this one.

I heard Delo 400 is going to be 2400.00 for 10l bucket!!! that is too high compared to price I heard around 1.5 years back!! anyone has got any clue on this?

Around two months back I got a 10 ltr. bucket (Aug-08 mfg date) for ~ 2100 Rs. As expected, the prices keep on changing. It also depends on the batch I think.

Friends,

Anybody tried OWS 15W40 High Performance Diesel Oil? I heard this is the best Diesel oil than Mobil1 Minerals and Magnetec.

But not heard any review of it now!

I'm running OWS turbo racing, dont know if that is the same as the high performance diesel oil, but it is magic. Mobil 1 has nothing on it. I've used that too.

@Ripper what's the API spec ( Diesel spec) of OWS turbo?

To my shock found out that Mobil 1 Synthetic was just API CF ( even HP LAL GHODA is API CF)

Need to change the engine oil in my Indica Vista Quadrajet, it has run 3500 Kms and Tata did not change it at 1st service. I want to get it changed outside, which oil do I go for and how much would it cost me?

Purpose is that it shd bring down the noise level.

Thanks in advance!

the official oil change is at 10,000k right ? then I'd suggest you wait till 5k.

And find out how much oil you need - there seems to be confusion all around - people , even TASC's , or even your user manual is not sure if it is 3.2 or 3.7 liters. adding too much can damage your engine

Nothing shocking in that. This particular oil is very highly rated for petrol (API-SM I think). The diesel specific Mobil 1 is API-CI4

Okay,

i'm ready to get Delo 400 10ltr bucket and also going with the Delo gear oil (80W-90).
Can someone tell me the price range for Delo 400 at this time! What I have heard is around 2400 for 10ltr now, someone told me it was 2100 a couple months back, it seems prices gone up really high in last few months!

A week back,I got it for 2100 Rs. (in Pune i.e.). 2400 must be the MRP I guess. So you can always bargain :-)
