Re: Mercedes W124 E Class Support Group

Guys I need a wiper motor for my 1996 E250. Any idea where I can get one in hyderabad?. I tried mahavir motors they said atleast 14 days since it is not available in pune, they have to get it from Singapore or Germany. Other guy said atleast 1 week need to get it from dubai.

Since it is a bosch wiper motor (I saw on the work bill) will any bosch wiper motor work?

Try getting a old motor from a junk yard, rarely any part supplier will stock this part as they rarely go

Can any body help me source an original clutch hose ? It looks like this. ..this one is a duplicate. Really bad as it hs a lot of resistance when I try blowing thru it. Say ita 80-90% restricted. My clutch feels like a brake pedal!

Damn! it looks like new, what could possibly be wrong, did you try shooting some compressed air through it?

Just what I would have done, except I would have used a coat hanger. Assuming it is the straight end, can't you cut off the crimp, cut the hose to size and have it re crimped? I don't have the tool, but I am sure there is someone who can crimp it for you in Delhi. Attached is a picture of a tool and brass fittings that could do the job.

If it's the straight end, why not try a drill bit and clear the restriction?

Tried hammering a nail..maybe I need a heavier hammer...drilling would be tricky business. But worth a try!

Thanks guys but the service advisor called and let me know that he was able to source one costing Rs.11,000, i decided to go for it as i was having a hard time sourcing it myself and i need the car back quickly.

Do you guys know if i can get a blank key, preferably original (w/o any transponder) in India ? I only got one key so thought it would be wise to keep a spare key handy. I saw some on ebay but am worried about the quality.

Blank key for w124? Yes i can send you one... I am not sure what you mean by "transponder" ? The one I have is just a regular key.

yes blank key for 1996 E250D, if you can get a couple of them for me that would be great. please PM me the details.
From what i read (i may have been mistaken) there were some late model w124's with remote locking so their keys have transponders built in them.

On the firewall, top left corner near the engine.
