Well, he has little choice since Reliance is not available in the NCR
Plus with Reliance Diesel now at Rs 39, on a 65-Litre tank the capacity difference is of 7.5 L if filled with diesel at Rs 34.xx

18 is really terrific. Makes you feel really happy.
That reminds me that in one of the 1st reviews in a Auto Magazine, the review mentioned a FE of ~ 17.9+.

I am really happy now that it has been achieved.

My sentiments exactly.
I also felt that IOCL Xtramile is the best amongst all premium fuels. See my post below on this.

Please do clarify this doubt

Does using Xtra mile Diesel along with fuel additives cause any harm to the engine, Reduce/ Increase the FE etc

Never use Xtramile/ similar fuel with your own additives. They are pre-added, thats why they sell at a premium.

Off the shelf additive like System D for diesel, are only meant to be added to normal diesel.

They will probably harm the engine/injectors than anything else if you try to add them to Xtramile.

Btw what speeds did you keep in your trip to get such FE. With A/C, without it ??
I got the vehicle delivered on Jan 2, and next day I left for TVM. So I kept it at 100KM/hr with AC. I did my first service there and while coming back most of the time I drove at 120-130 speeds and at times touched 150. again with AC.
I didn't calculate the mileage for each way, but in total the average was 16.(115L for 1850KM)

No never add systemD or any other fuel additives to Xtramile or any other premium fuels. All Preminum fuels come premixed with additives (each oil company have their own formulation or selection of additives).

Adding additional additives will s*** up the fuel properties and it is not known as to how it will affect the engine. It will NOT do the engine any good - that is for sure.

Latest Update

I got the Reverse Parking Camera and 7" Screen installed in my BEAR on Friday 29th Feb 07.
I paid 8600/- for a brand 'RD'. This comes with a 1 year warranty for the screen. They have given me the warranty card stamped and signed. Though cheaper brands were available which were costing about 6-6.5 K but were without warranty. So I decided to go with this. This is the same company that sells sensors and stuff.
The screen which latches itself on the existing RVM has two video ports. The 1st has been used for the reverse parking camera. The second port can be used for connecting the cars DVD player. The quality of the video at night is ok provided the reverse light is bright. I havent been able to test it in the daytime. Would upload my reviews once i drive it in the daytime.
Additionally the screen has bluetooth capability which once paired with the mobile handsets can be used to make and receive calls. It even flashes the number of the person who is calling but strangely does not display the name of the caller on the screen.

One thing which has me worried is that the mechanic scraped not cut the wires of the reverse light when connecting the wires of the camera. He gave the power to the screen from the power slot of the Car Stereo. I asked him if there was any other way he said that for the Camera to engage automatically this was necessary and does not void the warranty.
Will this void the warranty of the car. Please clear my doubts?

No issues until the wire is completely cut off. I believe scrapping is fine and nowdays accessories guys all over places do the same to avoid actual wire cut into 2 which voids the warranty

Even when I got the reverse sensors fitted, the mechanic scrapped the PVC insulation of the reverse lamps for power. In my case I got the sensors fitted from the showroom where I purchased the car (I Know I paid a little more than the market price ). They also informed me that the warranty will NOT be void

Please inform as to how much time does it take for the camera image to appear on the screen in the DAY time.

A fiend of mine fitted both the camera and sensors on his scorpio and both are displayed on the same LCD Screen. He paid 8.5K.

Reverse guide

Guys,
One update from my side regarding the rear view screen, my screen got burned after some days of use, thankfully I had opted for one with 1 year warranty, so got it changed easily. According to the dealer, there is some reverse current during ignition and that may fry the lcd sometimes. So he fitted a switch which nowadays I take care to keep in off position when starting the vehicle, no issues so far. It's a pain probably, but it's all a matter of getting used to.

The image takes about 1-2 seconds to come up after reverse is engaged. Got a high power lamp mounted just below the camera too, earlier it used to be difficult to see much in night as my camera isn't IR enabled, now it is ok, cost 200 bucks. However I do not have sensors, did not feel the need to install one, camera suffices pretty well.

Wires were scrapped and fitted in my case too, that's the standard procedure I guess.

Cheers!

@kingshut
Thats a relief. Even in my case they scraped the PVC installation and did not cut the complete wire.
It takes about 2 seconds for the image to appear on the LCD.

@aburagohain
Infact i was thinking of getting a similar switched installed. Though not for the fear of burning (now that you have mentioned it i will definately get it installed) but the mechanic has given power to the LCD from the car stereo. As the power to the car stereo in not cut off after Switching off the ignition the LCD comes on automaticlly whenever i go near the vehicle (cause of the Bluetooth pairing). I think that the bypass switch will be a good option.

Even i was thinking of installing a high power lamp below the reverse camera as the visiblity is a few feet. Though i think that my cam is IR enabled and the image is all grainy at night i dont have major problems while reversing at nights. At the same time a high power lamp would be a good option. Try to put up a pic of the lamp (whether its a square/ rectangle/ circular) and what brand is it?

@Jerish666/ram_hyundai/mansidea
I got a FE of 18+ on the bear. See my earlier post on the same thread! Though i was driving around 80 kmph.
jerush666 i checked it on a tankful to tankful basis.

BTW 16 kmpl by holyghost on a 120-130 kmph with the air con is fantastic. I got 13.5 kmpl with aircon on similar speeds.
