Thanks Arup, I would check on this and if feasible would give it a try.

Thanks for the information, I checked just now with a reputed tire store and got a quote of INR 400 for alignment and INR 150 for balancing including the sticker type weight for each alloy wheel.
I think I will go to this shop for this work.
Which is better to do this work before or after the service?
B103 upgraded from 175/65 R15 to Michelin Primacy LC 195/65 R15 tyres.

heres the link for reference

For balancing and alignment, better to get it done after the service.

Heart breaking

Went out for an early vegetable shopping this morning and it turned out to be unfortunate day.

I parked my car near JNTU Kukatpally Hyd this morning, when I was back after shopping this is what I see

The moment I reached home, I tried one round of Meg ScratchX on both the doors, it didn't result to my satisfaction. Then ran two rounds of Meg Ultimate
Compound on the front door and results are in the pics. By hand I think I did what best can be done, but they were begging for a rest. So stopped after the front door. This evening picked an appointment at detailer (KForce). Let's see what best can be done, else I might need to drop it at the dealer for the paint job. It's heartbreaking to see such things happen with no mistake of mine. Moron didn't even stop when the first impact was made, he went through the complete stretch. Really a horrible thing to see

Re: Heart over mind... ANHC wins the heart...

This is very disappointing. I understand your pain as I own this same color, I just can not afford to see any scratch on my Venus.

You can get rid of scratches by rubbing materials and detailing job and I hope you will not require to re-paint as scratches are not that serious (from the second set of pics after rubbing).

Rest keep us updated.

Re: Heart over mind... ANHC wins the heart...

Very Very sad to know about the incident. What a bad way to start the Sunday.

However, the silver lining being, post detailing pics shows that surface dent is minimal. Mostly it would be due to rubbing off the paint of the other car, maybe a white indica taxi.

Maybe repeated detailing with polishing machine may do the trick and not require re-painting.

All the best to get it back to shining glory.

Cheers

Thanks Guys,

Indeed when I went to Detailer, he said the same thing and nothing to worry. Just a swipe of liquid used for cleaning the sticker made the trick. I tried with Meg products and didn't get the results what they got

As well had Meg Colorx which I haven't used so far. Tried it on the bonnet alone and rest of the car went through one layer of Tech Wax Nxt from Meg. Let the pics talk. Thanks guys, it was not bad as I expected. But things like this just spoils the day.

Raghu sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident. It pains especially when there is no fault of ours. Nonetheless glad to see your City nice and shiny again.

I suggest you get yourself side-protectors for the city. Its a boon especially in metros where you don't know when a biker or an indicab would strike again.

Collinite 845 is a go idea. Go for it and the after effects will please you no end.

Hi Arup,

Yeah indeed 845 would have been a night top up, but never got a chance to do it.

Work forced me to travel to Europe and its been 7 months I saw or driven it. I look at the roads here and wish I had it with me

3 memorable and wonderful years and many more to come

My ride completed 3 happy years on 9th Nov 2012, 38006KM (that was the last on the odo) were wonderful.

No hassles what so ever and it never let me down.

Only update in near future would be tyres.

I am sure in Stockholm, you would be able to see Jazz, Civic, Accord and CR-Vs but not Citys. Is Honda City with your Dad now?

Any possibilities of moving to the next segment car or an SUV, after coming back? I won't be very surprised considering your love for driving

Congratulations on the completion of 3 years with your ride. How is the car being taken care of in your absence.

yeah true no City's here. Dad has is own commuter, so city is only being used very rarely.

Hmm, SUV is definitely on the cards, but not sure on how soon would it be

Thanks Kalyan, sorry for the delayed response was not checking this thread often these days. Its being cranked once a week and then taken for spin of 30min every fortnight. Its lying in our parking space all the time with cover. A good friend of mine is planning a long trip so it would go for one quick service check and probably some 600KM round trip soon.

The ideal upsizing with minimum error is 195/60 R15.
It also increases your GC by 3 mm
