Shamanth- The burning (slight) of the reflectors & brown discoloring of the plastic headlight housing is what i have observed over prolonged usage in both My Qualis & previous VTEC city. One of my neighbors Esteem has the same issues.

Our vehicles see a lot of night driving, for hours at a stretch, that may be a reason for the high heat generation & eventual effects !

Car Mount Needed

Guys,

I need car mounting kit to hold my 7" media player, I tried searching in almost all the shops near by and couldn't get it.

Can anyone suggest which would be the best place to get it in Bangalore?

Thanks

Raghu - What type of media player are you looking for a mount for ? You want a glass mounted one or one which mounts to the dash ?

You can try Sprocket in Koramangala, if he doesnt have he may be able to source one for you. Also Evo in Cambridge layout may be able to help you !

Have you tried sourcing one on Ebay/Amazon ?

Thanks Nirmal, would visit Sprocket.

Recently bought a BMORN BM888 HD player, (pics added in previous posts) forgot to procure the mount

I would wish to get mount for Dash so that I can use the bottle holder near the hand rest.

I did check in Ebay, would check in Amazon. Alternatively Iam trying to find mounts for IPAD and Samsung Tab, hoping it would fit BMORN as well.

20,000 KM Service done

Hi All,

Gave car for 20k Service today at Dakshin, never saw such a crowd for servicing in all these days. I prefer to visit on weekdays, but today was a different day all together. There was no parking space available

As per the record today they had 53 cars for service, I anyways had to wait for Ali. Though he was loaded he took my car as Iam a regular customer through him. But from now on I would take a prior appointment which I never did so far.

KM on the ODO: 19311KM

What all got changed?

Engine Oil - I opted Mineral this time to really feel the difference.
Oil Filter
A/C and air filters and pollen filters.

I had an issue with break pads, they were making noise when car was inclined and breaks were released, this was due to worn out pads and they had been replaced too.

Bill Amount: 8442 INR.

Service Feedback:

For the first time I felt not satisfied, Came out with mixed feelings.

On the cleaning part, interiors have been goofed up. I have been promised to get them cleaned in my next visit. I wish to do it on my own. I gave this feedback, Mr.Ali gave me an excuse of high number of cars today.

One more surprise was while I was exiting the premises (inclination) I tested the breaks and felt the same noise, Ali's response to it sir it's new needs few kms of running would ease them up we never feel them on a brand new car with pretty new pads, how come now.

Head lights:

Gave a feedback when Whitefield Honda is allowing a change to Bulbs why not Dakshi, he took the brand names which WH is providing and told would call me back tomorrow after a discussion with their service manager.

Yes, I have been observing a two-fold growth in the no. of ANHCs in the past two-three months. Which means that the service centers will be loaded with work. In addition, Hyderabad only has two service center's.

I saw your service update at 10k kms and you opted for Synthetic oil at that time. I am assuming that since you opted for Mineral oil this time, flushing will have been carried out to get any residual synthetic oil out of the engine?

Well, this is annoying when in the same city one dealer offers something and another does not. I guess Honda A.S.S are pretty inconsistent when it comes to things like this. Is WhiteField Honda far from where you stay or work?

Hi Raghu,

in my view, this should not happen. i did not encounter any such noise once the front brakepads were replaced at Pondycherry.

Kalyan, I have been told it's flushed. I hope it's true I have been charged for 4lts of oil this time, SA told some was used for draining.

True, they are.

Yes SV, thanks

He was also quoting the high pressure water wash also to be one of the reason.

After Servicing

Hi All,

Opting Mineral oil this time was to feel real difference after getting used to Synthetic for 10k.

The difference is felt, I feel engine noise a lot than what it was with Synthetic, it was much refined and low.

I would get it checked with SA this weekend to see if the levels are normal or needs any attention.

Would keep you guys updated.

Have anyone who shifted from Synthetic to Mineral felt this? what level of difference would be called normal?

Cheers
Raghu

Under Body Protection done

Guys my ANHC got under body protection this morning from 3M Exclusive Outlet in HSR Layout.

Cost: 2750 INR for 5 year warranty treatment, inspection every 6months.

Duration:

Jaggu's White Swift was the first car to get the coating today, followed by mine.It was fun and interesting to meet these guys (Jaggu, KhanSultan). Total time taken for protection is 1hr.

Procedure:

Under body wash
Protection to doors
3M coating.

What I liked:
Professional approach
Care taken to the car
Piece of mind, as you can see the entire process and 3M genuine products being used.

Pics: Excuse me for the quality didn't carry my Cam

Re: Heart over mind... ANHC wins the heart...

Hi Raghu,

Nice pics. The car is simply fabulous.I have booked my car recently and will be taking delivery soon.My question is how is NVH levels of the car?Is the car cabin silent on highways or one can hear a lot of wind noise?
Another thing i want to ask is where do buy your car care products from?Any specific website you can recommend that ships to India and is reliable.

Regards,
Rahul
