It has been my experience since joining this website that you and cohorts are more enthusiastic about automobiles than any other country on this planet. Hi Sonu,

Whose garage did this come to ? Its surely come for a restoration. The second one in Mumbai, after Marespand's.

If you look closely there is also a black millicento/elegant parked in the bylane there.

No idea about whose garage this one belongs to.. I just chanced upon her while getting the meters work done of my present ongoing project.

I do not recall any Mille or Elegant but yes there is one PP under wraps, nearby but is in pretty bad condition.

Much obliged, I'm sure! Though, coming from a clinical psychologist I 'd have hoped for a rather more egalitarian/courteous choice of words than "cohorts"!

This would easily bring one to spend hours walking through and perusing each vintage auto. If only it could be made possible. Note the wide-mouthed DeSoto with the Plymouth body on the very front row. Oh the memories you have spawned.

In 1954 Plymouth Belevedere (P25) convertibles were imported and sold in three models namely Plymouth Belevedere, Desoto Custom and Dodge Kingsways. The front fenders for the Plymouth and Desoto were the same. All were re-badged with changes in grill, badging, hubcaps and trim. The Dodges had a plain front fender.

All the 1954 convertibles being imported, were left hand drive and quite a few survive. The 4 dr sedans were assembled in India and were hence right hand drive.

Beautifully chronicled and clearly explained. My compliments, sir. Regardless of body changes it simply makes the 54 Chrysler products all the more desirable and collectible.

I am very happy to report that, this one family owned 1929 Ford A Cabriolet is being mechanically restored by Mr. Sripathy and should be on the road soon. The owner was happy to see the car running after so many years. Should be a feature in the upcoming KVCCC rallies

Have seen this car personally, what a beauty she is. by the way there are other gems behind as well, why not get some pictures of them. I was not sure that Mr. Sripathy or the actual owners will allow me to take pictures and post here. So just admired the beauties and came back
