Padmini Cool cabs!!! A decent look

Here is Adnan Sami's album. Cool cabs were introduced somewhere around 97-98. (plz correct me Mumbaikars, if I'm wrong). It was having so decent look of Blue and silver dual tone. U can feel the super rich Sedan look in this video..........(Kash Premier Auto FIAT ke sath survive hua hota)

This is from the tamil movie "Mouna Ragam" of the mid 80s. I remember having seen it in my childhood and vividly recall seeing the white padmini in this song!

Sirji, idhar chori ka koi silsila nahi hai. IIRC, Illaiyaraja is the music director for both the movies. So he just about used his own music.

Yes . Good observation. And really nowadays very rare to hear his melodious music. And of course nice to see ur post after long long time.

Found this on a 2001 Malayalam movie. Seems an Austin. No more info about it. The last picture shows the dashboard. Sorry for the picture quality, since they were taken as screen shots from youtube.

With thanks and regards

Was seeing the Dosti song (1964),"Chaaonga main Tujhe Saanjh Savere".A Standard Companion is shown aggressively speeding and also a brand new black Ambassador (Mark I) is momentarily seen. It is parked.

Double feast for Stanher !

This is a double treat for Stanher !. He'l be happy to see 02 standards throughout the song! Dharmendra in Red colour car and jaya in grey colour. But the way Dharmendra is dancing on Bonet and dicky, after seeing Shaym will curse him.

And of course have you noticed one thing common in most of the videos I posted(except cars/bikes)???

Yaayy.......my net is working again!! Phew!

LOL, thanks kale saa'b! I too had seen this video on youtube incidentally and had posted some pics. a few years ago. Yes, not too happy about Dharam dancing on the bonnet etc...felt like giving him his own dialogue "main tera khoon pee jaoonga!!"
However those were atleast the days when Heralds were very popular among the masses. How I wish I had existed then!

A movie I've always been wanting to see since more than 10 years! This red mk1 Herald appears briefly in the background in the movie 'Mukti' (1977) starring Vidya Sinha and Sanjeev Kumar.

I remember having seen this movie first in 1998 on TV. Heralds being a relatively rare sight in Bombay even back then, this car appears to be well in use going by the luggage rack and the few missing bits on it. The body surprisingly seems quite in good nick for a Bombay car! The doors are actually better than those of my car!
I thought the rims were red though, or maybe was confusing with another car.

Also it may be the light but are the glasses filmed/tinted? AFAIK sun-films/tints didnt exist back then.

Also another mk1 Herald also in red seen briefly i nthe same movie, albeit not as clear.

And for our FIATians, a dukkar that appears to be a driving school car- were fiats commonly used as such back then in B'bay?

There is also a Black select used towards the end of the movie.

Dodge?

Found this car in the 2010 Malayalam Movie "In Ghost House Inn". This car is shown in the flashback and hence taken in Black and white. I could not read the name exactly, but seems its a Dodge.

With thanks and regards

Good to read that nvkale2. Kishoreda had a penchant for the Ford Model A which is seen in Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi. His film Mr X in Bombay also features another Model A.He drives around in a beautiful 1959 Chevrolet Impala in Pyaar Kiye Jaa.In Bombay to Goa he is seen handling the breakdown of a white LHD American car of the 1960's. The full car is not seen (its a momentary appearance) and I am still guessing which make and model this car was?
But cannot remember him driving a Fiat!! Will recollect and let you know if I can.
