Beautiful and simply majestic. Is it the 300 SEL from late 60s?

I presume you saw a W140.They are brilliant cars, but unless its a well maintained piece, these cars are known to create big holes in your pocket.

Dear travancore,

This has already been talked about somewhere.
The history is a bit sketchy, but there seems to have been some involvement of the royal family of Nepal, and also Akalkot. Maharajas did sell cars to each other.
It was also lying in a garage in Mumbai where already some parts were lost. Then it was lying near the docks, sort of abandoned. Someone picked her up and took to Delhi. So she was first with Ravikumar, then with JS, now in Pune.
As said, sketchy info!

I am sure and I have enquired this with Daimler Benz that they can provide the provenance for this vehicle, Only the current owner will have to fax the papers and provide them with the engine and chassis nos. They were quite clear that without a copy of the Regitration and papers and request from current owner, they were in no position to discuss the provenance of the car.

W123 in Mumbai

Was on a whirlwind one day trip to Mumbai yesterday. Spotted this W123 close to our office in Fort.

Does it belong to a Bhpian?

That's the only good one I was able to click as the security guards were too finicky and even preventing the owners from touching their own cars!

Thanks for the clarification on the model!

Simply amazing the cars seen here. Pontons, Fintails, 114/115, 123, 126 and later. Even a 107 SL. But best were the 109? Coupe and the 300 Adenauer! Whats wrong with those people?
