Thanks for the clarification on the model!
Cant really say if its a W114 or a 115. Could be any. Basically a W114 is a 6 cyl engined car and a W115 is a 4 or 5 cyl car. Thats the difference. The body shell is the same.
Its an American model judging by the headlamp cluster and it being a LHD. The car looks in good shape.

Very sad. If she were to be scrapped, please save the engine, gearbos and prop-shaft for a fellow bhpian.

Cheers harit

W115's are 4 cylinder and Diesels. W114's are six cylinder 230-6,250 and 280.
The different year models can be spotted with the bumpers, early series had single bumpers and fatter grills and later have a more squat grill (more attractive) and a dual bumper in front.
W115's generally have a short back bumper and W114's have bumpers which reach almost to the wheel arch. Both W115 and W114 were current at the same time.
Headlights are either Euro version like that or the ugly American sealed beam, single round headlight. In the US all w115 and W114's got the round headlight ,everywhere else got the proper upright headlight.
The Four cylinder engine makes that a early W115.
The fat grill and single bumper,W108 steering wheel and a few other clues such as the fuse holder, firewall pad all indicate a 1967 car. A very rare and very early W115 and should be saved for preservation ,merely because it is very unusual ,and it's RHD so it may just be one of the few ,maybe even the only one left like it.

Aadix this is not a W114 it is a W115. The main difference, as pointed above in the quoted posts is that a W115 is a 4cyl and a W114 is a 6 cyl.
Also if you see the engine bay, you can see the distributor. It is a four cyl as there are five leads.

Also the W114/5 never had different headlamps as suck. As Starman has rightly pointed out they are the Euro or the American version. There were various other differences on such models, in keeping with the laws prevalent in that country as bumper length etc.

I am personally looking out for American lights for my W115.

It reads "RAJKOT STATE 55" - also in item description. Can you identify the specific model ? Maybe "Snehalata" will also help to date the picture accurately. Cheers Karl
