This is a question about Mahindra classic.

Couple of years back i wanted to buy one but i was disappointed when i sat inside, i could hardly fit my legs inside let alone enjoy a comfortable long ride with plenty of room. I am 6ft tall and thats not very tall by any standards, i guess people in US and Europe would have more problems than me, I was wondering if the Classic owners here could enlightens me on this very nagging issue. Can i find more leg room and have a comfortable ride in a Classic? Is there anyway to push the seat further back?

I showed him that Jeep some time back. While its very original, and just what he was looking for, the all important price factor meant it didnt work out.

preteens you play with go karts.
In your teens you drive a Porsche.
20's you need a Ferrari
30's you need an Aston Martin, Jaguar or Maserati,
40's you better be seen in a continental gt/gtc or flying spur
50's you must be seen in a RR phantom
60's you mis you youth so you need a drop head RR
80's you will apreciate the bentley azure.
90's you better be on adrenaline & testosterone supplements & rich to afford a ccx, zonda, or Ferrari FXX.

FORD GPW/WILLYS MB - Chassis

The pics posted by Shreeram (msg#106) are that of a WILLYS MB and NOT a FORD GPW.
It is evident from the Chassis.

The Pics posted by SPEEDY are that of a FORD GPW, again check the Chassis.

The Ford GPWs had a TUBULAR Cross member under the radiator.

ram,
U have amazing knowledge on jeeps and iam a big jeep fan. Had MM540 dp 1989 model with 4x4. The transfer case was slick smoooth. The single lever transfer case as provided now is no where near that in slickness. As u mentioned that the transfer case had gears instead of chains for ruggedness, it used to emit lot of noise(whine) once i crossed 60kmph. I just couldnt get rid of it, showed possibly to every mechanic but they just couldnt fix it. They matched gears with similar thread pattern from second hand market but the noise never went completely.

Even in present mahindras with brog warners transfer case i have noticed very slight whine.

Just for curiosity what could have been done to that MM540 DP transfer case to reduce whine noise?

Guys, I saw this jeep at a painter place awaiting completion, but it looks like the waiting has taken its toll on the jeep. This JEEP is called a Kaiser isnt it guys ??? Just cofirm it. Came to know from the painter that the owner owns 4 jeeps in total. 2 Willys , this one and the 4th he doesnt know the model. You can see a Willys bonnet in the 3rd pics.

.

Regards Ed.
