They all seemed to have disappeared from there in just a couple of years!

Most of them were actually chopped top four doors turned into marriage cars. In the lot there were a few genuine convertibles too.

I think Harit bought a few of them !

My lazy self did get to the drive this morning ! So apologies on not that many snaps . We had a wonderful line up of the three pointed star ! Wonderful drive on the Eastern expressway and back. The heat definitely rising by the minute forget the hour.

Sunday Morning Vintage Car drives are fun as always, with the vintages looking as good as they were when they left the factory.
Had a Merc SL500 (R230) and the S4 for company as well, and riding shotgun in these modern day beasts was an experience in itself

You guys sure are blessed with such decent roads (compared to what we're normally used to) and good space to hold even such "unofficial" events now and then!
BTW, pardon my curiosity, but how come a couple of modern cars, like the Audi, had got in as well?

Dear Photographers a big thank you to you all! You have covered all the cars beautifully. Infact your photographs have given me insights on many alignment issues on the front trims on my car. I will get it rectified. When the car goes to a garage for major works it always comes back with some other cosmetic issues on this particular day there was a slipping of the headlight glass on left passenger side. Which I fixed immediately on the same day. Front vents however will require a realignment in the body shop which I will do in the monsoon, when the car gets some much awaited TLC on its paintwork. Cheers and keep shooting!

Shyam I think the unofficial events is what is keeping the scene alive. Now the cars are looked after regularly as they have to keep their date on Sundays with other cars in the group. We are indeed blessed with good driving roads especially in South Bombay. But yet we keep finding new ones like the newly opened Eastern freeway. I think other cities should also get into this Sunday morning activity who knows one day we may have an all india convention of cars driven to an event from all over India. As far as the Audi goes sometimes members whose cars are unavailable on a particular day do come for a cup of coffee in their modern cars and that's okay, after all the humans make for the cars and the interactions.
