Have booked Honda City SMT in Pune last week and will be getting delivery tomorrow after paying the full amount on Wednesday 31 October. The deal is free insurance, zero dep for first year, 2500/- corporate discount and another 5000 discount coming to an on road price of 946000/- approximately. Will transfer my 50% NCB after I get the old car (that I sold transferred) by way of a cheque from the dealer. Am also buying a car cover from the dealer for about 1500/-. Bargaining for fog lamps but so far have only been offered a smallish discount on them by the dealer. This info should help those booking cars in the festive season!
Got a car loan from SBI processed in five working days and transferred online to the dealers account. I looked at the VMT model and feel the Cruise Control is not really of use in India.

Congratulations on your new purchase. Did you cancel your booking for Micra ? What made you to choose Sedan over Hatch ?

Thanks guys.

Initially were planning to replace my dad's 7 y.o ikon 1.6 with a sedan. Dad wanted a small car to go about as well.

so off goes my 3 yr old vista which dad felt was too heavy to drive around in town. Micra fits the bill there.

Now to replace the ikon with another sedan, comes the vento.

So yeah, lucky me. The micra has come while the vento is on its way.

the icing is that I have been auto upgraded from vista to the vento. lol:

my original confusion

Upgraded to Vento HL Diesel from CL.

Candy White - INR 11,59,610 OTR incl. EW
less insurance - INR 41,497
less Corp Discount - INR 8,000
Final OTR after discounts - INR 11,10,113

Good choice, always good to go for the safety features in the HL.

Hi fellow BHPians
Took delivery of my first car - SUV Mahindra Scorpio LX 4WD on Thursday evening from Sireesh Auto, Bangalore. Wonderful delivery experience. Looking forward to off-road trips. Starting with single day trips near Bangalore. Inviting suggestions please, BHPians from Bangalore. :)
Very new to large vehicles like the Scorpio, so all advice with 4WD handling are welcome and much appreciated.
Thanks
:)

:)

Did you mean the VLX 4WD? As far as I know there is no 4WD option in the EX, LX and SLE trims.

Also, would you mind posting the maths for your final on-road price? And some photos in an ownership thread of course. I am planning to get one in a few months perhaps.
