I will be picking up a 95 model S1 tomorrow morning. Will post th picures by afternoon tomorrow.
Finally a replacement has come for my MER-3501.

We are really happy that you bought another FIAT just after selling off MER.

Yesterday was a horrible day for we FCB guys. A very unfortunate incident happened to Sujith's Fiat.

I just picked up my S1 a few hours ago. There was a issue with the battery and had to buy one. The car was parked for more than 3-4 months now and did not face any problems in starting the engine. Had to remove the AC belt,the belt connecting the fan and AC pump as it was weak. The brakes were jammed and my mechanic had a hard time driving it back to the garage from Vittal Mallaya road to Banashkari without headlights and the right wiper not working.

Tomorrow`s plan

1. Engine and gear box oil change.
2. Breakes being checked.
3. Timing check.
4. Electrical check up of all lights,wipers,meters and tail lamps.
5. Servicing the alternator ( Will not take any risks since the battery is new).
6. A/C check up.
7. Complete Water Service.
8. Change the old Panosonic cassete player to a MP3 player.

No cosmetic work other than a front grill (Simillar to Karthik Makam`s One) next weekend.

Will post a few photographs tomorrow.

@selva, post the pics of pre service and post service of your car. congrats on acquisition of fiat. i hope it will be as a family member with you than just a car. and please share your car experience and car expenses on this thread.

Yes, the before and after all the work pictures would be great for everyone. Good luck with restoring the S1 to proper running condition. Again, FCB is very happy that you got this FIAT.

Dear Bob- Heartiest congratulations on your acquisition. Please post pictures of your S1 is it bucket or bench seats. Good to see so many S1s where only delights and other fiats are cared for.

After a FCB-Discussion Lunch Meet at Barbeque Nation, we FCB guys have decided the following date for the next FCB Meet.

Meet: "FCB Diwali Meet"
Date: 21st November 2010 Sunday
Time: 09:30 HRS
Venue: Lalbagh(North Gate)

The delay in the next meet is because of Ramzan till next month, Navaratri/Dushera from 8th to 17th October, Diwali from 5th to 9th November and the big news - one of FCB's Founder is geting married in mid October.

Yes Sir. Many informal meets planned. To start with.. Friday is FCBian KK's Daughter Wedding. As its in the outskirts we plan to have a nice drive.
On Aug 15th is Team Fiat India [TFI] drive. Aug 22nd we have a 'Engagement' drive. September we have Fiat India - Bangalore officials meet. September we have 'Shopping' drives! And the major informal meet is in mid october!
