Yup..
1. Fill Gypsy to the brim with petrol
2. Ensure 4wd works
3. Have decent tyres
4. Ensure cooling system works, water pump is ok etc.
5.
And go "Pedal to metal"

6. Fill gypsy to the brim with petrol..

Participants

Hi Guys,

We have 2 Kinds of Participants.

1) Competitors -- Driver/Spotter (6 participants + 3 vehicles = 1 team)

2) Organizer -- VOLUNTEERS FOR TPC

The course is such that it is impossible to guide spectators to the Special Stages over 15-25kms

There is no provision for spectators or for a "one day jaunt".

Regards,

Arka

Monster_BHP,
The event is good 3 months away. U are welcome!! It is a 3 day event. Meanwhile why dont you join for an OTR this 23rd and 24th in chennai?? The place is same as for palar for camping but offroad spot might be different:-))..so you dont have to wait for 3 months to attend OTR in chennai

For out-of-towners, I would suggest atleast a day's rest before the start of the event if you're driving down for days together.
Has anyone got quotes for trucking down your 4x4s?
It would be like an "arrive and drive", if planned well.

Guys who are planning to drive down from Mumbai/Delhi.

Try contacting the car carriers for Hyundai for trucking it down to Chennai and Car Carriers for Maruti for trucking the vehicles back to Mumbai/Delhi

This is because the car carriers return empty on the way back to their port of origin.

The cost is 8-12K one way through them.

Also set a target date for 10 August for the vehicles to reach Chennai.

In case of delay you will have 2 days in Hand.

Also you can try the 40ft/40 Ton Trailers but they cannot carry more than 3 CJ3Bs in length (3 X 11ft) or 3 MM540s (3 X 13 ft).

Regards,

Arka

PS - I would suggest all to-be participants to form a chain(Delhi-Jodhpur-Mumbai-Bangalore) and drive down its more fun and safer.

Two way fare is quite cheap. The mumbai speerdun participants from bangalore should be able to give an approximate figure. They loaded some 6 cars and some superbikes in one single car carrier.
Psycho/v1p3r/memo, we need you here.
