Tata seems to be afraid of automatic gearboxes despite having done excellent tuning with Hexa, Harrier and acceptable levels with the Nexon. Their inability to get an automatic car on the road is rather long (or inexistent). 2020MY Thar wouldn't even stand a chance if they had a Safari 4x4 AT. It almost sounds like they are afraid of automatic transmission.
