Re: The iPhone Thread

Ordered a 12 mini 64GB from flipkart at 41k, since yesterday they are offering a massive 31% discount! Not really sure how they are managing it? Expected tomorrow, more on it when it arrives

Superb deal.
God knows when but waiting for the similar deal on 13 Mini
I'm in love with that form factor.

The catch is its a 64GB phone. Its like buying an electric vehicle with a 100km range. Nevertheless 41k is a superb price.

For the 13mini it may take some time. Given that these mini's may be the last to be produced by apple, decided to shift from my IP11 to the mini primarily due to the form factor. Giving the IP11 to my daughter...

I got my work iphone 12 mini for 38k, last month Flipkart was running a sale. Snagged it. 64gb storage and it's a very good phone for secondary purpose for me.

Re: The iPhone Thread

My iPad Air 2 from 2014 has come to end of life and the display is also broken and spreading.

I"m planning to buy another iPad (9th Gen) but haven't seen any offers on it for the past 2 months. Anyone know of current or upcoming offers or bite the bullet and buy for the advertised 31k?

You may want to wait till Mid-March. As per the current rumour mill, Apple will have a mid-March event where they will be announcing new iPads. The current ones may see a price drop post the event.

If this is true , i will buy the 13 Mini as soon as the official news of discontinuing of mini is out, irrespective of discount offers.

My only reason to skip 12 mini is the battery performance.

Looking at discounts now, 2021 BBD seems unreal. I got iPhone 12(128GB) at 49.5k(with flipkart axis card) in Oct,2021 sale day1. Didn’t see such pricing since

IIRC, 12 mini 64GB was grabbed for 34/35k or thereabouts during that sale.

The only reason I went for the 12mini now is the price variance of almost 20k compared to the 13mini current pricing. With no sight of when 13mini price drop would happen, decided to go for it. The 11 was good however ease of use always troubled me.

You can use dedicated Camera Apps to which give you granular control. Two well made apps that I can recommend are:
1. Halide Mark II

2. Obscura 3 Pro Camera

Re: The iPhone Thread

For anyone who needs the absolute best phone camera out there, it’s the iPhone 13 pro max without doubt. My wife has been using this for the last 3-4 months now, and there is a massive difference between the 13 pro max and my iPhone 12 ( which itself has a decent camera ).

The biggest drawback to iPhone cameras have always been low light photos, especially taken in the night, but the iPhone 13 pro max seems to perform very well in these scenarios too.

I highly recommend Fimic Pro app which will give you full manual control over the camera functions. It seems to be the most popular among iPhone film makers on YouTube as well.

If you’re looking at making high quality videos, suggest you get an ND filter also for the camera. Even a cheap one like ‘Neewer’ works well.

Re: The iPhone Thread

I’m trying out this new app called FotorGear. Seems to be free with Ads. It includes a proper manual mode and RAW capture support. Have not run into any hiccups yet, looks to be a decent app.

Re: The iPhone Thread

I've finally upgraded to iPhone 13 Pro 128GB in Graphite shade from iPhone XS, which I've used it for nearly 2.5 years. And, BTW, I got this 13 Pro as a gift from US.

Will post the first impressions after a week as I'm still flaunting with the phone and had transferred the data from the XS to 13 Pro today itself.
