Well, if your 3GS is a jailbroken + unlocked piece (even if it is a legal import), frankly you are on your own. I am currently using the IP4 which is factory unlocked.

Cheers!
I use the Otter Box Defender case - ~US$ 60 with shipping & handling. Its the best if you want to protect your IP4 albeit at the cost of adding bulk. OB has other cases that you could consider. Check them out.

re: The iPhone Thread !!! Update: iOS 4.3.3 out !

Smaller Iphone 4 coming soon. Reportedly to cost $200 without any contract. Some big websites are already claiming this.

Apple Works on Line of Less-Expensive iPhones - WSJ.com

Apple Planning Smaller iPhone Priced at $200 Without Contract - Mac Rumors

Also a dual mode Phone in Works.

Imho, with the smaller iphone, iphone will loose its credibility as something exclusive. Who will buy the bigger one then unless they omit some features.

Also, iphone 5 is suppose to have a 4-inch LCD.

Its one hell of an interesting 2011 ahead of Iphone fans

Sorry if the news are already posted.

iPhone bumper is good enough to protect your handset and looks good too.

The disadvantage of iPhone bumper being less protective to the back-side & front-side (which is of glass).

It's good for normal usage.
But if you plan to muffing, definitely you have to go for some iPhone strong cases, will save your set on accidental dropping or scratching.

For anyone who cares to read - let me say one thing. The IP4 is by far the BEST mobile phone I have ever used. Period.
My friend has brought a factory unlocked iPhone4 32GB from US.
Now i am able to see the menu and upload songs using iTunes using the at&t sim card.
But when i use airtel sim card,it errors "Please insert a correct im to activate" which means the handset is not unlocked properly right.

My friend is in US and working with Apple customer care to unlock it.

Please advise.

Yes, it is not unlocked properly.

From what you have described above, I think your phone is not an unlocked piece to begin with and may have been one of the IPs that are contract free but network locked.

A factory unlocked IP accepts a SIM card from any operator. Your handset requires unlocking by AT&T in the US. Hope your friend can have it done for you. But he might need the phone when he's at the service centre.

Regards,
Here the problem is , he already checked it with his International roaming Airtel sim while he was in US in both our handsets. My friend also bought a handset for him too.it's working fine that time.
Once he came back to india, from the day one till date he has been using his iPhone4 with Airtel SIM card.
But for me it's not working.I don't have any idea what went wrong.
I asked him to check in Apple/at&t customer care to unlock it.
Hope it will happen soon

Check out this iPhone dock for a Harley.
Wonder if we can get this installed on our motorcycles.

GaugeFace is an app-and-dock combo that interfaces with your Harley's ECU (Engine Control Unit) to display the bike's speed, tachometer, engine temp., gear, and turn signal info on your iPhone or iPod touch. And the installation is almost as easy as setting your phone in a charging cradle. So, what do you think? Ready to turn your late-model motorcycle into an overpriced -- yet totally bad-*** -- iPod dock? Available for an MSRP of $250.

Will the iPhone stay in the dock while driving through rough Indian roads?
