I would say a couple of metres. I just turned it on (inside the house) ran tomtom and it picked up what number house I was in. That is from inside the house.

Congrats on the buy, Tehseen.

The camera is not the best I have used on a phone. It is better than the camera on the Omnia though. I still think the camera on my old SE K750i is one of the better cameras to grace a phone.

I know there are some HTC patches to fix the noise issue on photos which I have not yet applied.

Wow, bigman not bad at all. I guess they have actually given a pretty decent cam.

Yes the camera appears to be ok. I guess you could tweak the settings to get better shots than I managed.

The pictures appear to be better than on the Omnia I had. The photos on that had a white tinge to them as if a filter effect had been applied.

I am just about to flash a new ROM on to my HD. The ROM I put on a few weeks ago was very fast but is not very stable.

The photos are great, BigMan. I did not get time to take a snap during day time and will do so tomorrow and post it.

And yes, in the HTC user forums, there were some tips on how to do the setting for taking a better photo. Have done also; tomorrows results will tell how good (or bad) they are.

Two photos taken from my HTC:

At the metro station:
My new friend - HTC HD-test-004.jpg

Today afternoon; very cloudy! (Had some very good shower later!)
My new friend - HTC HD-test-010.jpg

Seems like the second photos, taken after doing some suggestions given on HTC site, has actually made some unwanted effects. The board is appearing too colored. Need to revert the changes!
