I also asked this question earlier and couldn't find a answer.
however one thing i am sure that if its upgradeable it will be only upto 2.2 froyo and not 3 (which will come later), as hardware requirement for 3 is much much high.

So based on all this, I've finally ordered galaxy3 from futurebazaar, atleast to start the android experience its best VFM product.

If anyone is wondering about battery backup of SE Xperia X10, I am attaching two stitched pictures of my X10 phone status that I noticed today!

Yesterday morning I unplugged my phone at 95% charged, 1 day and 10 hours ago.

Today, battery reads 66% with lots of phone calls and data use on weekend.

Have a look... I could not be more happier with battery performance! Well Done Sony!

Same here.

But if the screen it set to max brightness, it takes up a lot of power. also, some games, especially Angry birds (!!!) suck up the battery like anything. Calls & normal usage does not affect the battery life much.

by the way, have you installed any apps? any good apps to share?

That's great, Ace. But is Background Data enabled or disabled on your phone? ie are there any mail or other accounts on auto sync? Coz i don't see an Edge or 3G icon on the taskbar.

X10 2.1 Upgrade

Raj/Ace

Since you guys are using X10 for quite a while & upgraded to 2.1 did the screen resolution changed to 16M colors now?
Also is X10 capable of 2.2 update coz of its hardware limition of 384 MB RAM as against the minimum 512 required ?

Any other worhwhile improvements seen in 2.1 upgrade as compared to 1.6 ?
Sorry for some really noob questions, I'm novice in the Andriod arena

Guys any reviews on LG Optimus P500 ?

LG Optimus One P500 - Full phone specifications

I am leaning towards it. Seems to be a better bet than the Galaxy 3 ?
Comes with Android 2.2 and better camera.

^^^ But is it available in India yet? Price? It also has an HVGA screen, which will be a big plus over Galaxy 3.

As per the new info by SE, the X10 will never get a 16M colors screen.

Even if SE decides to give that, dont expect it any time soon.

Frankly speaking, its not something that i truly miss as somehow, after the 2.1 upgrade, i feel the display is more clear & the colors are richer.

I have a Nokia N95 8GB which has a 16M colors screen. Watching pics, videos & movies is much better in my X10 than the N95, irrespective of the screen size.

Again, 2.2 FroYo is not possible in X10. So 2.1 is the final firmware update as far as X10 is concerned.

1) Better screen
2) Live wallpapers (the best thing that could happen to my phone!)
3) HD video recording
4) More applications support
5) Backup & Restore application
6) Better & classier user interface
7) 5 homescreens instead of present 3
8) Faster Timescape & Mediascape
9) Other small conveniences like Power control & status switch widgets
10) Improved unlock bar with no lag & better feel
11) More organized settings menu
and more...

Cons:
1) Still no automatic camera flash
2) No multi touch, hardware limitations
3) Call volume not improved

Is the HTC Desire still worth it? I know the Froyo 2.2 update is being rolled out right now. Im thinking the Desire HD is a bit too big and the Desire Z is thick with the hardware QWERTY keyboard. Im planning on buying the Desire in January...

It seems the FroYo update has started rolling out across the world for HTC Legend users. Many users have posted about the upgrade on FB. I checked for updates but unfortunately its saying my phone is up to date.
I am assuming the update should be available to Indian users very soon.

SOB SOB SOB, SOB SOB SOB.

I ordered Galaxy3 on Futurebazaar, and was waiting for the courier day and night, and guess what, I got the courier of Belkin 85W car inverter, and not the phone.

Yes, these guys now tell me that phone is out of stock and they don't have an ETA for the same and have issued me a complaint number.

I am in such a foul mood that i better don't do any serious work or talks.

I am shocked how come futurebazaar was doing "Battle for cheapest smartphone" without having proper stocks available, SHAMEFUL.

I Had a same experince when i bought a mobile from futurebazaar 2 years back, They kept on telling its out of stock and other reasons and delayed it for around 40 days. From then on i stopped buying from futurebazaar. They should be displaying in net if there is no stock, really bad website, and still they haven't improved.
