Re: Samsung "bada" OS thread - Tips, Tricks and Hacks

I think you must be on some other version of bada.
I have bada 1.0 and there is not option of such sort when i click the small settings button.
The options that come on pressing the button are-
Web sync interval:
Evry 30 min.
Every 1 hr,
Every 3 hours
and so on. But there is no option of sync being activated full time.

May be it is something server side that doesn't support Push? I don't mean your exchange server doesn't support it, but you probably have to provide a different server (not the one where you check your mails through browser) for Push mail to work.

In my case, these two servers are different. And I had to activate the service for my company email for my mobile. The process might be different in your company.

Re: Samsung "bada" OS thread - Tips, Tricks and Hacks

Nopes. I think there is some other ssue.
Actually I am not getting the option of syncing on regular basis.
The options dispalying on my screen are like what i mentioned earlier.
They start from 30 min. onwards for syncing.
That is why I was asking whether you were on bada 1.0 or some other version.
BTW, i know it may sound stupid, but its S8500 wave I am talking about.

I don't use office mails on mobile on day-to-day basis but I have tried it for sometime and it works.

2.0 is not yet released, it is just announced. Our Waves will start getting updates starting around October.

Re: Samsung "bada" OS thread - Tips, Tricks and Hacks

How many of you downloaded & installed bada 2.0 SDK in your PC ?

You can write WebApp also in new SDK by using JavaScript, CSS and HTML5 apart from normal C++ applications. This is fantastic.

Also enhanced flash based applications supported in bada 2.0.

That's great. Looks like a good response. I should have registered for it even though I don't have a published app .

When will we get bada 2.0 update for Indian Wave and Wave II users? I guess they will start with Europe from October 1st week. Hope it doesn't take as long as it took for bada 1.2.

Re: Samsung "bada" OS thread - Tips, Tricks and Hacks

Today I downloaded Samsung Kies 2 and when I connected my Samsung wave 525 it showed an update for my phone. My current firmware is Bada 1.1 May be the update was 1.2 I am not sure. I would like to know what are the improvements I will get after updating the firmware? Will I get any major improvements?

Re: Samsung "bada" OS thread - Tips, Tricks and Hacks

I just updated the firmware and my version of Kies. Not sure when these were released as I was checking after more than a month
New Firmware is S8500DDKH1/S850ODDKF1(NFU)
Kies version now is 2.0.2.11071_128

Yet to check the changes in my phone after firmware update. One change I saw in Kies is that the Store option is missing. Any idea on this?

The problem is with the newly releashed Kies 2.0.2.11071_128 not showing the Samsung Apps Store has to do with a corrupt "AStorePlugin.dll" file. Luckily, it is only this one file that is corrupt in the whole installation package.

1. Go to Program Files\SAMSUNG\Kies\Plugins\AStore, inside the AStore folder, replace the "AStorePlugin.dll" with the one included in the download link below.
NOTE: ONLY REPLACE the "AStorePlugin.dll" of size approx 4,014kb (Don't replace the small one of size about 4kb).

2. Now you can enjoy your new Kies 2.0.2.11071_128 with Samsung Apps Store
Download working "AStorePlugin.dll" file from here: http://w w w (dot)megaupload(dot)com/?d=0JNX8I3S
