1. You can download Blackberry Desktop Manager and use the option of Change Device.

2. You can also use Blackberry Protect to trasnfer your data from Curve to Torch.

Hi S350L-E240

Thanks for the feedback.

The phone should have a 'Proximity Sensor' to prevent your face touching the touch screen and activating commands. Is it working properly?

Check to see of you have the latest OS software.
New version announced today:
Official: OS 7.0.0.557 for Bold 9790 | BlackBerry India

Review of 9790 on Crackberry:
BlackBerry Bold 9790 Review | CrackBerry.com
Overall a great thumbs up.

Do give more feedback as and when you can. It looks like a potential best seller for Blackberry in India

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

Guys can you help me with this. Which maps would work with a navigation software in a BB 8900. I have downloaded wisepilot and have maps for mmi, destinator and sygic. Which of these will work? If not then what?
Also my device says software version is 4.6, but when I try to update to OS5 and use desktop manager for update, it checks for update and says no update available, how?

Waze has its own maps country/state wise and use real time updates. I am using waze and its not that upto the mark but does the job well. Try it out.

For maps of India, waze uses SatNav maps. Do keep in mind that Waze is an online GPS app, meaning it downloads the map tiles (that you see on screen) in realtime using your data connection. Wisepilot (for example) is an offline gps, which stores maps locally and can work even without an active data connection.

Wisepilot uses Navteq maps, the same maps used by Garmin. You do not have to do anything extra, the maps are installed on your phone when you install the Wisepilot app.

Ya saw this last night, but i am not sure if the pb is selling that much and what is the reason for that.

Dont think the pb will be useful if someone already owns any of the tablets.
