From Pocket-lint:RIM details why BlackBerry users haven't had email for two days - Pocket-lint

BlackBerry maker RIM has issued a statement as to why its users in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and other parts of the world have struggled with email browsing, and using BBM over the last two days.

In a statement issued to Pocket-lint late on Tuesday night RIM said:
"The messaging and browsing delays being experienced by BlackBerry users in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, Brazil, Chile and Argentina were caused by a core switch failure within RIM’s infrastructure. Although the system is designed to failover to a back-up switch, the failover did not function as previously tested.
As a result, a large backlog of data was generated and we are now working to clear that backlog and restore normal service as quickly as possible.
We apologize for any inconvenience and we will continue to keep you informed."

Get the curve, the older bold is bulkier and has os 6. The new bold sucks in terms of battery life.

The curve its newer, slimmer and lighter with the latest os.

1. If the new bold has a bad battery life, does that carry on to the new Curve as well?

2. Btw, Bold 3 has 1500 mah vs 1000 mah of Curve 9360.

3. Apart from NFC, what additional change does OS 7 bring above OS 6?

4. The keypad of Bold 3 and Curve are 'supposed' to be poles apart. Any inputs on that?

1 and 2 ) Then God help you with the battery life.

The keypad of the Curve (new one ) is better than the old bold

RIM has announced free download of Premium Apps worth 100USD as an expression of appreciation of your patience during the disruption of their services last week. Free Apps will be available on BlackBerry App world from 20oct to 31 Dec 2011.
