Called up a couple of dealers in Pune and on phone at least no mention of any offers of any kind. Only standard exchange bonus of Rs 15k, which is of no use to me.

Anyone had any better luck?

FYI prices for ZXi MT w/o Leather:
- Ex-showroom Pune, from the SX4 website: 7.51 lakhs
- On road prices, for PMC
a. MyCar: 8.34 lakhs, extended 3 yr/ 60,000 kms warranty, provided by Maruti, not dealer
b. Sai: 8.30 lakhs, standard 2 yr/ 40,000 kms warranty
c. Chowgule: 8.34 lakhs, extended 3 yr/ 60,000 kms warranty, provided by Maruti, not dealer, worth Rs 3,990.

but none of them have an MT TD car, only AT. Two of them tried to convince me that can experience the same power and pickup on both. As if...

No way I will buy without TDing an MT car. And no way will they offer me discounts unless I show them I'm really interested I guess...

Fiat has extended its offers on Punto, which include:
  • free insurance
  • free extended warranty, which means a total of 4 years of warranty
  • free Road Side Assistance for 50 months

Ads appear almost daily in the newspapers.

Seems either this is coming back as discount or what I can't figure! Anyway I have asked for all this on paper before I place any order.

Mota moti the working seems as follows now:

Rs. 9,07,724/- Ex showroom Mumbai
Rs. 63,540/- Mumbai Reg & Tax (7% of Ex showroom)
Rs. 1,800/- Smart card based reg service by RTO agent
Rs, 24,000/- Insurance (thrown in by Company as per current scheme)
Total - Rs. 9,97,065

They are offering it at Rs. 9.6 lacs plus some floor matts so discount is Rs 37,065/- is this good enough?

I can't understand that you are paying for the smart card and the reg separately it should be included in the reg. fee and tax

The RTO agent is a smart card registered or something like that user so his service charges for getting it registered is Rs.1800

Its year end expect better discounts if the dealer has the car in stock. Best time to get discounts is in jan when the dealers might want to clear the stock of year 2009 made cars. But the question is, Do they have Verna Automatic in stock?
