Thanks. Great to see ford offering Hill Launch Assit, Electronic Stability Program and Traction Control. It will be interesting to see the pricing strategy for the top end model.

Can you confirm whether this was a diesel or petrol car? AT?
Also did you see the interiors? Are they quality wise better than Fiesta?

The website dosent have the EcoSport tab anywhere anymore. Was anyone able to get any more details of the specs posted on the website last night ??

1. Go to google.com

3. In the search result, take the cursor to right side of the searched result to preview
4. Click on "cached"
5. you can browse the site as it existed earlier

lease merge this with my earlier post

New info on EcoSport from the local ford dealer
-Launch in march and deliveries from march
-First petrol and followed by diesel shortly
-Official bookings open with an amount of Rs 50,000/-

The dealership claims all this info has been given to them by Ford motors themselves.

I am really impressed with specs. I was thinking the Ford would only try to match Duster. But, they have really taken this to next level. Hopefully, with right pricing Duster might see more features.

Will they have the AT in diesel and petrol too? any tentative pricing info? the dealer here in Mumbai, is silent on this, asked over the phone. Maybe should visit them in order to get more details. This is one eagerly awaited launch.

I was being informed by a friend working in Ford dealership that the Ecosport will be priced just like the Figo basis (ie) Launch with an attractive price and increase it slowly after the good sales. He said that Ford has really made a big blunder with the pricing of the New fiesta and they learned from it and they are not going to make the same mistake again. He said the launch will be in Feb.

I have an ordinary mob camera and not able to pick anything inside due to poorlight inside (it was around 7 am with all windows closed). The Audio HU resembles exactly as in All New Fiesta. The driver came and took the vehicle in a flash and am speaking to him on the move to get some info. My mind did not work at that time to click interiors

Body lines are really better in Ecosport and gives a rich look. I think it is diesel, but not completely sure..Sorry about that.

With Diesel subsidy as good as removed, Focus would shift on the 1000 cc EcoBoost Engine. I am sure Ford would have a sizeable % of petrol cars compared to diesel and with this trend all other manufaturers would follow suit.

Suddenly the Petrol version of a Car seems to be a lucratve offer.
