Also whats with the alloys? The same SX red variant shows the new alloys whereas the Grey(stardust) one shows the diamond cut alloys. Also how i hope there is an all black interior option. Not liking the beige. Cant see too many buttons also from the chinese ix25. Cost cutting for us indians as usual. It looks a simple dashboard.

Is there any confirmation from any source on whether it is the stone age 4 Speed A/T or 6 Speed?

The Verna comes with 6 airbags in it's top SX variant, and the (competition) EcoSport offers it in it's top Titanium (O) &Titanium AT variants, so I don't see any reason why Hyundai would want to skip on this extremely important safety feature, specially when they will be charging a premium over the EcoSport.

The Stardust-colored Creta is the SX (O) variant, whereas the Red-colored Creta is the SX variant.

All-black interiors might be given on the lower variants (Base, S), while the dual-tone black-beige interiors might come on the higher variants (SX, SX (O)).

Now this got me thinking, and I went back to the pictures of the interiors of the Creta SX and the Creta SX (O). I'll let the pictures do the talking here.

Look at the steering-mounted controls of the SX:

Re: Hyundai ix25 Compact SUV caught testing in India. EDIT: Named the Creta

As per the educated guesses so far, with Creta top variant having all the features of an Elantra, including Cruise Control and a six speed auto (?), what will be the differentiating factor for Elantra except for the length and black interiors and ventilated seats etc.? More so as Elantra is priced a good 4 lakhs above Creta!

Will Creta eat into Elantra sales as well?

Apologies a little off topic. A specific answer to your question would be that we have to wait until launch to see the feature list on the top end Creta. Yes the feature list is almost the same. Only dual zone climate control,VSM,ventilated seats and solar glass seems to be missing.

Over the last 3 years or so, Hyundai has a lot of overlapping products. They are trying to fit a car for every budget. I own a 2013 Elantra and it's a nice car. I recently bought an I10 grand automatic and it cost 7.8 Lakhs OTR Bangalore. I could also buy the Elite I20 magna version for about the same money. The customer then needs to decide if he wants a bigger car with less features or the fully loaded smaller car( in my case an automatic).

I felt strange that Hyundai would sacrifice safety for convenience. The Asta Manual transmission costs around 90k less than the automatic and gets airbags while the auto transmission doesn't. Just waiting for the day when the regulation on compulsory airbags is implemented.

Yes, it's the so-called SX variant, not the SX(O)!

It's confirmed that the Navigation-based Touchscreen Head Unit will be available on at least TWO variants.

Re: Hyundai ix25 Compact SUV caught testing in India. EDIT: Named the Creta

Pretty sure that Creta is going to take the baby SUV market by storm. Ecosport, Duster and Terrano to eat dust after this chic reaches the road.

Creta looks too much of the Elite i20 on the inside and like a mini Santa Fe on the outside. However, the overall packaging looks wow.

Waiting to lay my hands on this car as a replacement for my 7+ year old Swift Vxi.

Only 2 airbags? Even on the top end version? That is going to be a disappointment.

This is obviously not the full list of features per variant. For example, the spy shots revealed that the SX(O) will get cruise control which isn't present in this list. Have a feeling there are more such features that have not been mentioned in the scoop.

If what Motor Octane says is true, then the automatic will be available on both the SX and SXO trims. Thumbs up. I am also sure that the SXO will get 6 airbags, navigation and leather seats as well.

Are you sure this is the SX variant? I see that it has the start/stop button on the dash next to the infotainment system. If so even Push start/stop should be on the Sx and SX(o)

RevenAvi, are you sure the interiors belongs to SX and not SX(O)? Why I ask this is because the picture has Push-button start. But it was very clear from the exterior pictures that SX did not have request sensors on the outer-door handles. I do not think Hyundai will give push-button start but no request sensors - I mean, they are part of the same package, ain't it?

The person who sent this could have well got confused by the fact that both SX and SX(O) will have the badge as SX on the exterior. Probably that got him thinking that SX also has these features. I am just guessing.
