The face lift S-Cross would be getting LED projectors as standard in all variants. I have checked the output of LED projectors in Ignis and Dzire. It is not great but much better than useless 25W HID projector present in our cars.

I own the Zeta and have had my fair share of struggles with the headlight beam. It's plainly too weak being a 55/60W set. I am looking to soon upgrade to a better set of eyes but haven't had the time to do so yet. The reason I didn't get the Alpha was that it had nothing to convince me to spend 1.5L extra considering the bixenons have been criticised ever since the launch. Hope they do something about the output with the newer variant, though I wouldn't count on it.

The confirmed date of the S Cross facelift launch seems to be the 28th Sept.

The new Maruti Suzuki S-cross is expected to be launched in five variants and is likely to be priced about Rs 20,000 - 30,000 higher than the outgoing model.

One of the primary reasons for me to skip the 1.6 was the hard clutch, in city traffic it would have been a nightmare and in a hindsight that seems to be the best decision with my knee acting up of late. In today's traffic conditions if you are mostly driving within city and occasionally on highways, i would definitely recommend an automatic and Maruti skipped that in the 1.6 and 1.3 as well.

5 variants? As of some time back, S-Cross was indeed available in 5 variants, 1.3 had 4 and 1.6 had one. We have read at almost all places that 1.6 has been/ is being discontinued. So will we getting a surprise as 1.6 in facelift or a 1.5 Petrol Automatic as the 5th variant?

Even 1.3 had 5 variants last year.

There was Sigma, Delta, Zeta(LE), Zeta & Alpha.

That Zeta LE had some features over regular Zeta (Black Rear Spoiler, Button HU) & missed some (Touch HU) as well. That was priced a bit lower too.

I expect the same this time here, though with a slight change. I read somewhere that Projector Headlamps will be standard across the range. We'll wait for final specs for that.

But that apart, Maruti will be adding a Zeta (O) to the line up in this facelift & the New Zeta will be stripped off some features from current version. The option pack will gain some, what it will get remains to be seen as current Zeta is already packed with Features expect the two missing one's (LED DRL, Projector Headlamps).

Is this the only car from Maruti/Nexa that doesn't have automatic option, except maybe the Omni/gipsy? Even puny alto800 gets an AMT!

re: 2016 Suzuki S-Cross facelift leaked. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 8.49 lakh

With additional Cess now applicable, Maruti has increased the price of S-Cross and updated the same on its website too.

Alpha 320 variant which used to cost 11.66 lacs is now priced at 12.21 lacs. Wonder what is the point of bumping up the price now when they have stopped production of the old variants and whatever is left in stock is anyways being sold at a discount.

Maybe the speculated 20k to 30k increase for the new variants will be applicable on this price of old variant.

In the meanwhile, received a call from my RM today to check if I was interested in booking the new S-Cross. Told him that I will book it only if petrol with AT variant was available. He said that only Diesel with mild hybrid is getting launched and there will be No petrol option at launch.

Suggested that I should instead go for the Ciaz which offers petrol with AT. Told him, I am interested in a SUV / CUV so will look for some other brand.

It's such a shame, was keenly looking forward to replacing my Indica with the new S-Cross.

Nonetheless, all eyes will be now on the new Ford Ecosport.

re: 2016 Suzuki S-Cross facelift leaked. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 8.49 lakh

True. Everyone would look towards the EcoSport or the Nexon.

The on-road price of 1.3 in Secunderabad works out to Rs.12.60 Lakhs and would further increase with the facelift, whereas the EcoSport Platinum Edition costs more or less the same.

The Eco Sport facelift promises to be a much better package than the S Cross and the Nexon as well. Looks like Maruti just wants numbers with the S Cross as well, but will it work? Only time will tell.

Has Maruti increased dimensions of the new S-Cross? Width, height and wheelbase seems to have increased.

Width - Could be down to measurement including side mirrors
Height - Not sure if Ground clearance is increased
Wheelbase - Has gone up by 5mm

The tyres are 215/60 R16 in face lift S-Cross. Old ones were shod with 205/60 R16.

Just in time for S Cross - SHVS launch,

The period of the FAME-India Scheme is further extended for a period of six months i.e. up to 31st March, 2018 or till launching of Phase-II of the Scheme.

Quote:
Hybrid, e-vehicles continue to attract incentives under FAME.
The scheme offers sops on electric and hybrid vehicles of up to Rs 29,000 for bikes and Rs 1.38 lakh for cars, thereby lowering their price for buyers.

Also add Toyota too, as they continued with to offer their Hybrid products and cited no withdrawal of this variant.

Also note the HYBRID 2018 SWIFT that was sighted in India will now be launched too.
