Indeed! Looks quite sharp. Very sporty. I love the greyish black interiors, so much better than the beige interiors Maruti decided to go with on the Dzire.

I am not personally there. All the images are from the respective twitter feeds.

Having said that, I am sure Maruti will come with a top end variant in the Automatic, just like they did with the Baleno and more recently, the Ignis.

What I also love is the simple design philosophy that Maruti seems to have followed. I'm not at all a fan of chrome and find it rather garish. This seems to be a wonderful, sleek, modern and simple design.

Why did they skimp on offering the AMT on the top variants? I still do not understand what holds back a company like MSIL. Even a person with no knowledge of cars would bet all his money on this being a blockbuster hit due to the goodwill that the brand enjoys. Then why is MSIL shy of launching a fully exhaustive variant list? According to the dealers, the Baleno Alpha CVT is a huge hit and carries a high waiting period ( as long as the MT). What is holding them from doing the same in Swift then? The AMT ZXI/ZDI misses out on the touchscreen and possibly the android/apple car play too. There is talk of them taking the lead in launching the hybrid version of the swift in India while on the other hand they are still skeptical in launching a fully loaded AT car.

Rs 4.99L to Rs 7.29L for the petrols,
Rs 5.99L to Rs 8.29L for the diesels.
