| ![]() Skoda Vision (URL) seems like a good move from Skoda. The Seltos and Creta twins have monopolized the >4m SUV segment and there is need for some serious competition there. With Honda cancelling the HR-V and giving a walkover - this is definitely good news for the consumers shopping in this segment in terms of an additional choice. | ![]() Sunroofs are quite awesome when there are no children/adults standing out from it. India is hot "mostly" and sunroof is a way to let the heat escape while not taking in all that pipe exhaust. |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() ŠKODA further details out the VISION IN, ![]() › Concept study for Indian market with distinctive ŠKODA grille featuring illuminated crystalline twin ribs and logo › Compact SUV study’s centre console and dashboard characterised by crystalline elements › Presentation of ŠKODA VISION IN at Auto Expo 2020 from 5 to 12 February 2020 in New Delhi ŠKODA VISION IN shows, among other things, a ŠKODA grille with prominent twin ribs outlined in crystal. The twin ribs and the ŠKODA logo above them can be illuminated, creating an impressive front look in tandem with split LED headlights. Crystalline elements also set visual accents in the interior of the VISION IN, for example on the gear selector button in the centre console, under the virtual cockpit and in the form of a new crystalline element on the dashboard. The seat covers have eye-catching decorative seams, and the multifunction leather steering wheel features the knurl wheels in line with ŠKODA’s new operating concept. The VISION IN is the first vehicle based on the MQB-A0-IN version of the modular transverse toolkit that ŠKODA has developed specifically for India in response to the wishes of its customers in the region. In the future, various ŠKODA and Volkswagen models will be created on this new localised sub-compact platform Source: ŠKODA |

| ![]() This looks absolutely fantastic! If the production version looks half as good as this, then what an exciting battle we have on the cards. Seltos & Creta vs. the Vision IN. |

| ![]() The VAG group companies can reduce complexities by sharing parts in a way few other companies can even dream of. If the A0-IN platform can carry forward the good bits of the current gen cars (build quality, handling), they absolutely can come back into the Indian auto scene in a big way. Provided they're supported well by the service centers, which is still uncharted territory for Skoda. |

| ![]() I am putting out my neck here and saying that we are looking probably at a Creta/Seltos killer. Obviously, it will depend on features and pricing but this car has all the ingredients to be a blockbuster, particularly if it comes with the 1.5 TSI 150 bhp engine. I am also excited about the Indian version of the VW TCross. Looks like the VW/Skoda twins are going to take the fight to the Korean twins while the Japanese have completely given up. |

And not to mention - kids sticking out of open sunroofs all the time while irresponsible parents or drivers are nonchalant about it. Scares the bejesus out of me each time I see this! ![]() Last edited by arindambasu13 : 28th January 2020 at 12:08.

1) It makes the cabin lighter and I almost always have this opened (without the shutter that is, but closed otherwise) for the light alone. Only from around 1100-1500 if am driving, I close it. 2) We also get periods of good weather, esp if you live in Blr, go on hill drives or even in hot muggy Chennai, these nights when am driving after 2300 Hrs, it is AC off, windows half down and the roof open 3) When the car has been parked under the sun (msotly in this 1100-1500 region), opening up the sunroof and windows drives down the heat very quickly, far more effectively than if it was the windows only doing this duty. I don't see any demerits to a sunroof. Kids (or even adults) sticking their heads out while it might appear fun and glam, is an absolute no no though, so on that I agree.
