Honda is all set to announce pricing for the tenth-generation Civic on Thursday, March 7, 2018.

Honda Civic V

Curtain Airbags seems to be exclusive on ZX, while V & VX get 4 Airbags (2 Front & 2 Side).

While Feature spread across variants is good, ZX seems to be having all bling features. Hope Honda Prices it well. Bookings seem to be good according to Honda.

VX should've had atleast the LED headlamps as well.

There is absolutely no incentive for anyone who wants to go with City ZX, to go for the Civic V, unless they're very closely priced.

If they can price the Civic V at say 2-3 lacs above the city ZX on the road, then there could be cross shopping and customers could potentially upgrade to the Civic. They would lose 2 airbags, leather upholstery, a sunroof, led headlamps, and 2-3 kmpl of milage.

Lets see if Honda can price the Civic V close to 20L OTR. Three years and six months back, I was eagerly waiting for the 1.6 S cross and was expecting it to be priced 14.5 lacs on the road, when it was priced insanely high.

Now here I am, 42 months later, waiting for a sane pricing from another Japanese company who has history of pricing their products exorbitantly.

I dont mind losing 2 airbags on the V as Civic would anyday be better built than the city. 20 lacs on the road would be a bargain price for the V. In that case expect to see lot of civics on the road.

It is unlikely that the on road price will touch 30L. The dealers who have received the first lot of cars will have an idea about the approximate price. It is probable that the on road price of Civic (ZX) Petrol is close to 25 L.

As you suggested if they can price the Civic (V) 2-3 lacs above the Honda City ZX on the road it would be great. The base variants are expected to have 4 airbags. If Honda price the lower variants of Civic sensibly, some City ZX customers might migrate to Civic.

Do not expect VFM pricing, If what I heard just now from a dealer is true, it will be positioned between 22L to 29L directly placing it in Octavia's territory. This would make the Elantra (18L to 23L) or even the good old Corolla @25.5L for the top spec VFM :-). All prices are OTR Bangalore.

Likely to have that non VFM tag. Corolla now has discounts of upto a lakh, which would make it more VFM.
Octavia Style 1.8 TSI would be 26L OTR, which on any day would be better than the 1.8 CVT "ZX" if priced at 29L

Well so many contradictory comments but trust me guys this car has always made me give a second look whenever I have seen it outside India - I went to the dealer and it looks so sporty and brilliant that trust me these pictures dont do justice and you will have to see it in person.

Lets wait and hope Honda gives a good price looking at the CRV fiasco!
