I am always in for something which I can control - like the tyres. I could easily pick up a right sized tyre Vs a bigger touchscreen aftermarket.

The Indian consumers love to flaunt - could be to do with it. I could never think about an entry level hatchback providing a touchscreen (Kwid) and we see almost all segments and products switching to it.

Correct. It ain't no Tesla . That said, it might look better, more cohesive and behave more useful in real life. They are talking a lot about connectivity and perhaps this is one way of realizing all of that.

just saw one of those MG youtube videos. Is it me or the back of the hector where the skid plates are; looks hideous?

The faux skid plate looks absolutely plasticky and hideous in that silver, plus somehow it draws attention to the poorly positioned tail pipe can (I remember the discussions in the Nexon thread about a similar set up).

Honestly the car would've looked much better without the skid plate, or at least one in a darker black-ish color.

Not anymore. Tyre upsizing is probably no longer allowed, post the Supreme Court judgement against vehicle modifications. All of us should bear the new realities in mind when choosing our next vehicles.

The Honorable SC might have passed this judgement, but in the end it comes down to the cops to implement it. I still see many people driving around with bull bars on their cars and quite a few with dark tints on their windows. The cops would most probably won't notice a tyre upsize of +1 or +2 sizes unless they go about measuring the tyres of each car they check. Any modification that stands out too much and visible to the naked eye has more chances of getting caught, maybe something like this -

Forgetting the vehicles just for a second and comparing the adverts of Harrier v/s Hector.
MG's ads feel so classy, as compared to the Tata Harrier's!

I wish they launch the Diesel AT soon!

Listening to the ad, I think Alexa is in a better position to understand it better, perhaps?

Hi Sujay,
I know you cancelled the xuv 300 booking. Are you tempted to buy this one?

Any idea on the OTR pricing in blr.

I am very impressed with MG marketing. They seemed to have understood the Indian consumer better some of the old elephants in the market. Indian's love gimmicks and some of these connected car features (gives it a Tesla-type feel) has the chance of going viral. They are at-least making an honest attempt at wooing customers. Roping in Benedict Cumberbatch was also very clever.

Looks like the Audi dealers have taken on the franchise. They need it!

There is one coming right before the Delmia Circle flyover on the ring road in JP Nagar opp the Barbeque Nation.

This one is also a KM away from Nexa JP Nagar.

I have heard MG Hector is not coming in Diesel AT. Was quite impressed with the car but now No Diesel AT=No Buy for me.
