Well, I think it's a nice looking car. Not sure why we dont see many on the roads though - is it due to higher-weight (w.r.t. its peers) and the Chevy label indicating low FE ? What is the kerb weight of the car BTW ?

What kind of traffic is this figure from ? General city traffic ? If so, it sure is nice FE.

That I feel is very good FE per my thinking. Any views.
Highway FE of 16+ is pretty good.

Mine if Ford Fiesta 1.4 Petrol

Total 21K kms done.

Till 6 months ago - I lived in HYD - where I used to get between 11.5 to 14.5 kpl with AC on in city driving
Now I live in BLR - where I am getting only 10.5 kpl with AC on in city driving.

I am a bit suspicious something has gone wrong with the car, that has caused this FE dip. Or is it just the BLR traffic?

You've found the culprit - the traffic is to blame!

My santro (2003 model)

City (with partial AC) - 11 kmpl
Highway (partial AC) - 15 kmpl

My Palio (2002 model)
City (partial AC) - 9.5 kmpl
Highway (partial AC) - 14 kmpl (earlier it used to give 15-16kmpl. Now is dropped. Guess I have become high revving driver)

Swift with the 1.3 petrol. 5 years old, 53K kms. Mumbai traffic, though mostly on the Western Express Highway and late at night. Often drive between 3000 and 5000 rpm. AC always on.

10.5

Finally after a really long period of time i actually figured out what was wrong with the car.It wasn't my driving style or the car it was the dumb jack @55 mechanic to whom i was use to give the car to for tuning was to blame.

Changed the garage from where i tuned the car up and saw my mileage increase from 8-10 to 12-13 and finally am getting 15 kmpl. All the driving some 60% is done on highway rest in the city.City runabouts are mostly short distance driving arouind 5-10 Kms a time.
So i guess a average of 15 is not that bad.

Also i would like to mention that the driving is done without a/c as it has long gone kaput.I have changed to NGK's in my last tune up wherein i had also got the carb overhauled. The 15 figure is my first after the carb o/h and am keeping my fingers crossed and expecting still better figures.

I too have a M800 Carb 99 Std. model. It has consistently been giving me fuel effeciency of 15kmpl in city driving. During my last Delhi-Jaipur-Delhi run, it gave me about 22.8 kmpl.

I understand NHC, Swift-D & Vista-Q, but Jazz ? How many Jazz do we even have on the forum to come to a definitive conclusion of its FE ?

TATA nano cx BSII
450 Kms on the ODO.
21KMPL on the 1st tankful (90% highway + AC).

Will keep updating here as the engine settles down and runs more in City conditions.
