FIAT PUNTO 1.2 Active Petrol Mileage Figures

I am consistently getting about 14 KMPL in the city and 17 KMPL in the Highway. The variation between fuel fillings is plus or minus 5%. You may also want to read the interesting data below related to the above mlieage figures.

The average distance covered per hour in City with 14 KMPL is 25-27 KM
The average distance Covered per hour in H'way @ 17 KMPL is 67-70 KM.

The real time FE data display option by the onboard comp. really helps a lot to achieve these FE nos.

I drive my Punto 1.2 Active 99% with Aircon ON only. bought about 5 months back and my ODO reading is about 7000 KMS.

Happy driving.

I have done that in my ANHC AT; and I have got instant FE beyond 40 KMPL this way. But, my avg. FE hovers around 11-12.5 KMPL( tankful method) depending on factors like: traffic volme in the road, how I am driving, how many folks are there in the car and the usage of AC.

+1 to that. Based on tankful method, (one time) my ANHC's (MT) display showed 17.6 kmpl. But actually, it gave only 15.1 kmpl. There is a disparity between the display and actual, which varies on driving conditions.

The city FE figure of my Punto is 2 kmpl higher than what you get on the highway !!

I get 18 kmpl in the city and between 20-22 on the highway. And I am not the only one. I know many other Punto owners who regularly report similar FE figures. The worst I have got in city has been 16.3 kmpl

I never given so much attention to FE till now. I just fill petrol when tank is empty

But i am getting around 13 in city & around 18-19 on highways with half AC on with my Petrol Dzire. Highway i usually get very good FE as i drive very technically. I mean i keep cruzing @ 2000-80-5-1. I.E. 2000 rpm - 80 KMPH - 5th Gear - AC on 1. Try this in any car ... You will get best FE figures. I bet

I always get around 16kms/ltr with AC on in my Spark on highways. But the blower is mostly on 2 or 3. My query is does the speed of the blower has any effect on the F E?? If yes, how??

Another update.
Previously I had posted the FE in my 1999 Carb ZEN as 14.2 KMPL for a 300 KM run, only the last 100 KM with AC on. Drive is half city , half highway.

Now for the next 300 KM, today when I filled up the tank, FE comes to 13.1 KMPL with 75 % of the time AC on.
