What a fall from the majestic 18 and 17KMPL Levels.

Cruised at 100 kmph throughout. Delivered a stunning mileage of 21.3 kmpl with AC 75% of the time.

Hard driving with 3500+ rpm in 5th gear. 10kmpl
Moderate/average driving. 2500rpm to 3000rpm in 5th gear. 11kmpl
Economy drive 1500-1700rpm in 5th gear. 14-15 kmpl
Average highway driving 12-13kmpl
Average city driving 10.7 kmpl

So final average is between 10-13 kmpl no matter what, all with 100% AC on and method to check is tank full to tank full, auto cut off.

I know you guys will not believe it. This is my Verna 1.6 SX VTVT when it was just 6-7 months old. Had done only close to 7K kms. This was on Chandigarh-Delhi highway.

Driven by my wifey atc onstant 80-100, unlike me racing.

Average reading on the MID should be off by at least 10% I guess. Here is mine on a Vento TDi doing a sedate drive. Many would like to call it hyper-miling though.
