Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Alto K10- June 2011 bought. Done 24500 kms
East Delhi-Bareilly- East Delhi- FE of 18.15 with full AC and speeds of 90-100 whenever road permitted. Diwali 2014.
Normal East Delhi-Sohna Road-East Delhi office runs starting at 720 in the morning and returning in full office traffic- I get between 14.8-16 depending on traffic.
I use Castrol Edge engine oil and have recently changed the air filter during the 20K service.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My XUV 500 recorded its best ever fuel efficiency at 18 kmpl during the recent Bangalore-Chennai monsoon night drive on NH 7/46/4.

80 kmph in cruise control; ACC at 24 deg C; two people on board; lot of luggage; ESP always on; wipers on for two-third of the journey; non-stop drive from home to home.

Very impressive figures for a petrol engine I must say, that too with AC on Seems like you were pretty light footed, weren't you?

Is this a 1.3? If yes, it's a good efficiency in city with AC

Yes, Always maintained a speed between 70-90, never crossed 120.
Believe me with T-Jet it is very hard to be in that range and to be light foot.

Thanks !
Yes, fortunately it is !

Good that I now know . I always used to think that I am abusing the car when the mileage seems to be around 11 !

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Wagon R Duo Lxi 2008 model
Run 55000 odd kms
City : Bangalore
A/C : On all the time
Tyre pressure : 33 psi
Occupants : 95% of the time - 2 adults
Driven mostly in the city.
fuel : Petrol (SHELL)

Mileage in city on Petrol mode : 12 km per liter not a mm more
Mileage in city using the LPG mode : 10 km per liter to the dot.

Highway drives : Not accurate but around 14-15 km per liter at cruise speeds of 80 - 90 kmph
LPG on highway : 10 km per liter.

BIMAL service engineers claim this is the best for the car though i doubt their claim.

Swift VXi K series 1.2 petrol non-VVT.
In Bangalore, as taking the Electronic City flyover to work, gives 14.50 kmpl overall including in-city, AC on 20% times and load is either only me or plus one passenger.
It has improved from 13, used to be 12 in city traffic conditions earlier.
Highway, doing illegal speeds used to be 15 kmpl with AC on 100% times but should give approx 17 with sedate driving.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

2014 Swift Dzire VXi

Last two tankfulls:

City:Highway = 45:55%
Fuel = Normal Indian Oil one
FE = 15.7 kmpl
AC on = 80%

City:Highway = 20:80%
FE = 16.7 kmpl
AC on = 100%

Going by the above breakup, I think it's 14-15 kmpl in city, and 17-18 kmpl on highways.

My current odometer reading is 1300. So, my question to fellow Swift/Dzire VVT owners... are these numbers okay? Will they improve as I clock more kms on odometer?

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My Figo 1.2's mood swings efficiency.
The one's above 11kmpl are all on highways.

Most of the times A/C and in city. I moved to Shell in the last refill , apart from the engine running smooth, efficiency is still swinging.
