1. the dash sucks big time
2. the console sucks even worse
3. supply < demand == high waiting period (for any car)
4. more people can be killed with that much power (now it ll be getz's and swifts' showing each other who the boss is)
5. cost of ownership will still be lower on swift (maruti!!)
6. punto, aveo uva, aveo sedan, all tata cars with MJD, perhaps an adventure with MJD, Sx4 MJD will ensure maruti stays ahead (since they make the engine though fiat is partnered in this venture!)

lastly

7. customer benefits a lot since he will be spoilt for choices. the only point of decision making will now be factors like space, safety and price and not the power of engines anymore!

Went back to Advaith today as a friend wanted to take a look at the Getz CRDI.

The car had clocked 35km's yesterday. Today the mileage read 88kms!! Damn guys at the dealership must have been having a blast last night

People hardly know about the getz crdi being launched.even i was shocked since there were no predicted plans of this car coming so soon.there haven;t been any advertisements and there's already a waiting list of 2.5 months.
Could it be that the manufacturers try and present a view that the car already has a waiting list to show that the car is doing really well in the market???

Guys, I know this is C**p, but the Trident guy called me again today and said the waiting period has increased to 4 months. He has 12 booking till now. Apparently he is receiving only 3 cars per month and if I book now..it will be delivered in Feb08.

So this car is curtains for me. No more interest in it.

It seems Hyundai has launched the Getz Crdi version in a hurry.

Hopefully, the four months waiting period is not real, otherwise, they can forget to eat into Swift Diesel market share.
