Haven't been around long here? There is an analysis thread created every month.

I am seeing an INSANE number of Fortuners. On a related note, we saw one Fortuner on the expressway turned turtle.

That just made me think : It's got way too much power and way lesser brakes for the rural folk. Those who haven't really been exposed to 150+ BHP cars before, or understand the limitations of an SUV.

I'm glad you liked the analysis. Do search through the forum, you'll see a similar report for recent months.

I'd say the Scorpio AT won't account for more than 1% of total Scorpio sales!

With Festive Season Coming to an end, all Manufactures would have made good sales this month. My predictions for hot B Segment hatchback sales for October 2009 is

i20 - 3950
PUNTO - 2020
JAZZ - 375
FABIA - 835

I have noticed only 2 A-Star on road, here in UK.
I wonder if this car is doing any good for suzuki in europe.
I do see many more Swifts, but not A-star or Splash (Ritz) here.

Unfortunately, with higher sales, the discounts are being rolled back.

Those numbers are down to the last digit. Are you a soothsayer?

Don't remember the hard numbers, but some news reports stated that the A-Star's production line is busy.

300 is a number I had heard thrown about some months ago. Given that Scorpios sell 30,000+ per year, GTO is about right, I guess, with his 1% estimate.

I thought Mahindra would give discounts due to year end for Scorpio, after looking at the figures, I think it is very unlikely that they might give discounts. Should I wait and compare the october figures and book it or book it now itself. After reading the other thread on whether to wait for 2010, unless there is a huge discount (there are discounts but 10,000+ range), there is no point to wait since I will be using for atleast 5+ years.

If this is crossposting, please move. thanks

812 units for Cruze is a very good number and it must have topped the sales chart in its segment. However it could have been due to the novelty factor and absence of any other diesel car in 11-13 lac (ex. Showroom Delhi) price bracket. The only other diesel options in this segment are Octavia (seems outdated) and Laura (quite expensive) with the Skoda A.S.S. baggage.

The true sales number may stabilise after 3-4 months after initial hoopla has died but due to diesel advantage and cheaper maintenance costs, it will remain a high seller. It would be interesting to watch sales figures of other cars in this segment for October. I think Civic would be the biggest looser in coming months as performance lovers will have now one more option in Cruze.

Good luck Chevrolet.

I'm thrilled the Jazz is doing so poorly. Should teach Honda not to overprice their product by more than a lac! They got away with it with the new City, but thats only because it outclasses the competition. The Jazz does not.
