Sid, nice collection. Hyundai's exports seem to have hit a roadblock now that the scrappage schemes in Europe are over. But they seem to have made up for it with record domestic sales. I am looking forward to knowing the i20 numbers.

Maruti has done brilliantly as usual. The Dzire appears to be rocking. Let's see if Manza has any impact this month.

GM has posted impressive Cruze results. They would be really happy if monthly sales settles down at the 600-700 mark.

Skoda appears to be defying the laws of gravity. No doubt due to the fact that the Superb and Laura offer a brilliant package in their segments. I wonder if Fabia sales managed to cross 1K this time.

1) Hyundai exports are decreasing but overall numbers are nice. The I series have met with success in India. Shows that for small cars, pricing is important along with availability of diesel. i20 is selling more than the Jazz. Honda should learn from this.

2) Maruti has put up fantastic show. The best thing is that despite the increasing competition, they are able to sustain well. Dzire will surely be hit by Manza without doubt, but overall, I expect sales of SX4 to go up a bit.

3) Cruze has met with good number in the first month. No surprise in this regard. Would like to know sales of Altis and Civic now.

4) The biggest disappointment is Skoda. Their sales have increased, but overall they are selling quite less when you compare it with the numbers of highest sellers.

5) Fiat ? The car that will take the biggest hit from Manza is Linea. Both will share showroom space, but Manza is obviously more VFM deal as compared to Linea. More space, equally powerful diesels and less price are sure VFM.
GP sales ? The car has potential, but IMO, the sales and distribution network is not able to capitalize on GP. I expected GP to hit i20 and Jazz hard, but its the other way round.

maybe its not quite fair comparing year on year 2009 against 2008. last year consumer sentiment was way down in the dumps. this year at least from all indications consumer sentiment seems to have made a happy recovery!

I think Hyundai export is down due the move of i20 production to Europe which was in good numbers last year.

So GM increased it sale by 812 with Cruze

I don't think it is fair to compare two months in same year. Correct way would be to compare against same month in previous year.

September sales in general tend to be higher than October because lot of purchases happen to take benefit of depreciation benefits (Same with March and April).

Cruze has really created heat for civic, Altis ,Lura and even jetta
But we have to wait for few months to now the actual beating of others

somehow i am not impressed by this number. Usually the first 2-3 months are great and then it comes down by 30-40%. This means probably the Cruze will settle around 500 after a quarter. not impressive for this car.

Hi SkyWalker first of all some , Thanks a lot for sharing your experience with ANHC that is just wonderful and I enjoyed it to the fullest.

Now for Cruze number even it comes down to 500 mark, that would be a good start given its a GM car and GM has lost all the faith of Indian buyers (except spark) for example Optra being dame good car was not selling same for Aveo and Uva.
