re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread. (Online tool : Page 1)

Hi I have been looking for either a used YETI Elegance or a Laura Ambiente Petrol Tsi.

Year 2010- 2011
Between 15-45kms
Place - Bangalore.

Can I please have some guidance on the price range of these two cars.

The few that have come up have asked for a fair bit more than the Carwale guidance price.

Any leads for a good Tsi will also be appreciated.

Thank You

What should be a Fair price to quote for the car?? Will want to finalized the deal post diwali.

Leave alone resale value, even resale of the Figo petrol is difficult. The diesel is miles ahead of the petrol. The 1.2L petrol is best avoided. Neither does it offer good performance nor good fuel efficiency. Instead please look for a i10, brio, old Jazz & the Ritz.

I wouldn't pay more than 40-50k for a 15 year old M800.

Nothing more than 2.75 lakhs, you did not mention about year of registration. I guess it is at least 4 years old. So 4 year old with 60K ODO reading 2.5-2.75 is good if it is in good shape.

Edit: 3.2 lakh is good for a diesel one, above comment is for Petrol. But ask them to include insurance renewal.

My Bad, but you spot on It's a 2011 Sep Make, and as per the previous owner it's been done mostly on the highways (Bangalore- Mangalore).
I am trying to push them for the insurance renewal, They also say 1 year warranty will be only for the Engine and Gearbox and doesn't cover TC. Before giving the token advance just want to be doubly assured if I can go ahead with this price.

Beat Diesel, running it's 5th year, with 60k on the odo is not gonna be a 'hot cake' in the used car market. The model will be phased out sooner than later, and its a Chevrolet.

If the dealer price is 3.2 lac, they'd have acquired the car at 2.4ish lac, if not lesser - which would've been a reasonable price.

Haggle hard. I'd say 2.5 would be a good price, but nothing more than 2.7L. At the mentioned 3.2L price range, you may be able to find similar vintage Figo's, Ritz's & Punto's, which could be a better deal than the Beat.

How much could a January 2013 Ford Figo (petrol) Titanium with 36,700kms on the odo fetch?
And does anybody know the procedure to sell a car that is still on finance?

Expected pricing could be between 3.5 to 3.8L depending on the condition.

Get an NOC from the RTO before that get it cleared from the bank to remove the Loan or Hypothetication. You'll be issued an NOC where it can be sold later on.

So I need to clear the outstanding loan first and then get an NOC in order to sell it?

I am strict on my budget of about 2.5 and I want Airbags and ABS as primary requirements. Old Jazz is the only vehicle apart from the Figo which will provide these but not at the price point I am looking at. RITZ ZXI i have seen, but the vehicles are very rare, got hold of one in Mumbai for 2.5 L, but the transfer formalities are a big hassle for someone like me who is out of town for majority of the time.

Yes. If the loan isn't cleared I don't think the bank will issue an NOC.

Whats a fair price for a 2012 Skoda Rapid 1.6 MPI Elegance. It has run just 16,000 kms and has got Stanley leather upholstery. It belongs to a good friend of mine, and I can say that the car is in excellent condition.

It was bought in Nov 2012. For peace of mind, I am planning to buy the extended warranty from Skoda, if at all possible.

TIA.
I did a check with a few used-car dealers. Got offers in the range of 2.75L to 3.15L. This means that the individual buyer price could be in the range of 3L to 3.4L. Introduction of the new Figo adds to the already notorious Ford brand in the used car market contributing to the low resale value.

Disheartened by this, I made up my mind to continue using the car for a couple of years more and extract max possible value out of it! (One friendly used-car dealer even suggested the same; 'why do you want to sell such a sturdy, well-maintained car sir? Keep using it until you absolutely require a new car.' Made sense!)
