Dear All, I am getting a Skoda Superb 2010 2.0 Tdi CR AT, 73000 kms done, 2nd owner, has the v6 alloys for 8.7 lacs. Car seems to be in a good condition and will be taking to Skoda service center for a quick check. Is the price a good deal?

I suggest you to look at more options. Look for something with less kms on the ODO and preferably a newer model (say 2011-2012). Be patient on the lookout, it may take time but you'll find a good car. Buying a high ODO German isn't a good decision since you'll end up paying extensive bills in the near future. Also, before buying, do check with the nearest service center for the complete service record. It will tell you everything whether the car has been a lemon or no.

You should be getting between 3.25 and 3.50 lakhs in OLX.

My friend is thinking of buying his boss's Chevrolet Cruze Automatic 2011 model. The engine mileage clocked is only about 30k, and the servicing (including AC gas filling) has been done few days ago. The insurance is valid for 3 more months. The boss is the first owner of the car. His boss is quoting about 8L. Now considering the recent state of Chevrolet in India, I am a bit worried about their A.S.S. But the price quoted comparing to the 2.0 L engine with 6 speed automatic is surely tempting. I would love to here views of the fellow BHPians.

^^8L is too much for a 5 year old car, if you ask me. My 5 year old VW Vento AT (with the 1.6 MFI petrol engine, 81,000 km run) will fetch me barely 4L if I sell it today. I've seen Civics and even Accords go for less. Check the used car valuation tool on our website and carwale just to be sure.

Also, be sure to TD the vehicle before buying: GTO wasn't very impressed with the AT box + turbo-laggy diesel from what I remember.

In Hyderabad searching for a preowned 320d I found a listing for a 2013 320d prestige variant with 37k on the odo and quoting around 27lakhs. What would be a fair price here in Hyderabad if it checks out good post inspection by the dealer here? Any idea on what would have been the onroad price for this vehicle in 2013 with year end bmw discounts on the prestige variant?

That's a very high price quoted. Shouldn't have costed more than a 32 on road back in 2013. Also, since it has run a 37k kms, bargain hard and try to bring it down to 22-23. There is one available in Delhi, a 2012 luxury line model done approximately 40k kms quoted 21lakhs by bmw dealership. So bargain or look for more options preferably with less kms on odo

Add another 1 lac to the quote. Expect anything up to 2.6 lac, provided this Quadrajet Vista is not the one which is discontinued.

I think this price is good for Swift petrol of 2011. Wagon R of 2011 is proper around 250k.

I don't think so. The ban is only on new cars. On the flip side in the used car market all these cars like Innova will have a great resale value. Now the question is what if an out of state car (which is above 2 ltr) comes to Delhi and needs to do registration transfer? Will they allow that?

Hello guys,
Have to sell my beloved 2012 Fiat Punto MJD Emotion as I have to travel for a long assignment. Car details:

Make: Fiat Grande Punto
Year and model: 2012 Emotion MJD
KMS: 30600 KMS
Service history: All available, got the 4th service (60k KMS) service done.
Other bits:
1. New Yokohama Earth 1 tyres in stock size done just 1K KMS
2. New wiper blades
3. Good quality art leather seat covers
4. Powerbass 4 channel amp along with Focal components up front and co-axials at the back. JVC KD-50BT head unit (original available).

There are a few scratches on the car, but it's never been in any accidents. The car is Thane registered.

How much can i expect for my car? I am afraid to take it to any of the used car dealerships as I'm sure they will give an abysmally low quote.

I believe the ban is on new registration. So that holds good for out side Delhi cars for newly registering in Delhi as well.
