Nope there won't be any significant performance gain. Insignificant gain yes... in the mind

Ripper - I think BHAGWAN has got this fitted on to his Swift D. Check out with him for reviews.

If you're not gaining much when you spend 13k then why spend it? Just for sound? Sure! But first listen to the sound and decide when the Swift vdi in the other thread comes out.

yeah! thats what I'll do. if I dont like it, the money will go into the tyres and alloys fund.I'm not rushing into anything. 13k is a bit steep. will look around for custom jobs.

The sound is usually less cuz diesel engines rev less compared to petrol ones which normally atleast rev upto 6500rpm...and its only when the rpm shoots up that the real sound comes in.

And there is a swift vdi here with ffe with the cat con also removed and still it hardly makes any sound.. You wouldn't even notice it unless someone told u that its a actually ffe..

End cans just give the sound... for performance u need the whole exhaust incl. headers and probably replacing the catcon with a straight pipe. And these days for 14k u get HKS endcans in EKM as well

ripper, be advised. I think Karthik is pretty right. Why don't you check out diesel with FFE. you are looking for the sound right? I heard of couple of stories in Hyd on swift diesel to show off with the sound. nothing happened, they sold it off. I am waiting for a second had remus!!you buying??

It's because of the turbocharger that the sound becomes muffled on turbo Diesel cars.

Normal Diesel cars without turbo do sound loud with a free flow muffler.

This is precisely the reason why i expressed my doubts in the other thread.

Most diesel cars sold here are turbocharged... But i think the Accent CRDi does sound better compared to other diesel cars with ffe..

BTW, has anyone put a full ffe on a swift diesel??

hey ripper

dont bother about the end can man. a good stainless steel one would cost you about 4k to custom build. making it in MS would be useless because it wouldn't last too long because ir would corrode fast. as you are already considering divert those funds to your tyre and alloy budget. would do you much more good than the end can

point taken ASHVIN. end can will come last. after tyres, alloys and new brake discs. just that last week's monsoon drive listening to redfire's petrol exhaust and veelu's lancer diesel, I started getting greedy.

also, about the same time bhagwan came up with his swift diesel mods thread which almost pushed me over the edge.
thanks everyone for restoring my sanity
