Somewhere here autopsyche himself said it's basically a big pain to have any kind of reliability with the scissor doors, eventually they go out of whack.

She's beautiful! Those alloys gel perfectly with the Swift!

Specifications of the alloys and tires, please

Wow! Looking forward to your ownership report!

I have booked Torque Blue ZDi, but the second pic is giving me ideas. What a beauty in red!

Why 205? How is the handling and ride? Wont it splash mud on the body since its sticking out a bit outside the wells?

OT: When did you book the car?

I didn't want 205s but had to opt for them only because 195s weren't available except for the Verna (fluidic) Bridgestones that cost 8.5k or so. 195s look weedy and under tyred when viewed from the back too.

It is lining up perfectly with the body and not sticking out of the wheel arches....although it looks projected out in the last photo. Don't know why. (Must be the lack of mud flaps or the curvy lower body).

For your reference, see this one. The rear wheel is into the wheel arches unlike the other picture.

I feel the Swift could do with a bit larger outer diameter for its wheel. With the raised suspension, there is too much light going into the wheel wells and you see the top part of the wheel more than you want to.

Sweet! Really liked the wheels. Be careful while running on wet roads. I run 205 on my Swift and it will splash water all the up to the ORVM and occasionally onto the driver side glass. So make sure you dont roll down and drive fast on mud.

Hi vivekji

Congratulations! The new Swift in Red looks stunning. Brings out the lines and the shape.
Droolworthy is the right term!

Re: your 205 wheels sticking out, sure looks neat on your car.
Any mods planned?

Awesome color choice mate and great overall look I have a couple of questions for you;
What about the stock alloys and wheels? How much did you manage to get for them and how?
Is this the ideal upsize for the stock tyre size of 185/65 R15?

I too have booked a ZDi and will be looking to upgrade the wheels and tyres. I was also considering an upsize if it is within the limits of normalcy as the New Swift has huge wheel wells. Did you consider upsizing at all?

Yeah, I have the same problem with my Baleno running 205s.

Yes, a couple of them are in the pipeline. This is our project car at Quarter Mile.

Yes, I decided to do an upsize the moment I had a close shave with a dog. Was on the empty road of Udaipur when a dog strayed on to the road. The ABS was working hard but the 185 MRFs were struggling for grip. Mind you, this was around 160kmph and I stopped with only inches to spare. When I got mine, the first thing was to upsize and the options were 195/55R16, 205/50 R16 and 215/50 R16. I chose for 205, being the cheapest and readily available.

The 185/65 R15s are lying around on their "signature" alloy wheels. Didn't make any attempt to sell them.
