In all likelihood the root cause got to be the lower wattage of the LED lamps. Although I have an OHC but because us being continents apart can't check out the truth of this theory. There are lamps which are designed (without using any semi-conductors) to blink. However, I have not seen them in ages, and not at least in automobiles. By the way, what happens if you remove one (and then both) of the indicator lamps and turn the switch the indicator on? Does the other lamp (with one) and the one on the dash still blink at the original rate?

Tried with one bulb as well, it still blinks fast. Same when both are taken out. Since both indicators blink fast individually (with all 3 bulbs in place), the above will have no effect in any case I assume.

Does this now mean that the bulbs are a waste? Or should I try them in a different car?

Quick question - which is the best (brightest) halogen bulb for motorcycles?

My Shogun is still using an ordinary bulb. Would like to change it to a halogen. Don't want to do any coil rewinding, etc...

Stock bulb is 35 watts.

Before you change your headlight try cleaning the headlight lens.
It takes less than a minute to spray some water and wipe with a cloth.

If you still feel that you must upgrade then and only then change your light.

^^^Cleaning the glass from outside? Of course that is done every few days... and always when its washed.

Thing is its still on an ordinary filament bulb. And any halogen should be better than that... I just want to knwo which would be the best buy.

A halogen is without doubt better than an ordinary filament type bulb.
By cleaning I mean every time you are about to start a night ride.

On the highway it means at every break spot.

Use a clean cloth to see the amount of dirt and insect matter that gets onto the headlight.
I personally prefer colin or brisk.
