Re: Smurfy - My Honda CB350 Ownership Review

It's tough to lug the XUV around town. This kind of bike makes sense. I was stuck in worst traffic snarls, twice. And the engine kept it's cool. Honda engine is really good and the best part of the bike

Re: Smurfy - My Honda CB350 Ownership Review

I was lucky to bag this excellent Scimitar jacket, for Rs 1000 off (Paid Rs 3,500). I had checked this for size at the showroom but it was one size smaller. This jacket breathes well, has reflective coating at the back and front, and is better than few I've seen overseas. Got the proper one from their online store

Re: Smurfy - My Honda CB350 Ownership Review

I would like to hear an update as to how the bike performs in pure city conditions. By 'perform' I mean how easy is it to handle in bumper to bumper traffic and stop and go situations. How easy is the clutch activation? Does it feel heavy during continuous clutch in - clutch out riding? Being a 350cc air cooled engine, do you feel any heat around your legs when driven only within the city? How good is the heat dissipation in bumper to bumper traffic? Sorry for asking so many questions.

Re: Smurfy - My Honda CB350 Ownership Review

Please ask as many questions as you like. I'm here to answer . First of all the clutch action is the lightest on any bike. That, and the correct gear ratios make city riding a breeze. First, second and third; that's all the gears I'm using in traffic. Fourth, hardly come up. B; you don't feel the weight of the bike, so that's out of the way. C; you do feel a normal engine heat, and its as much as you'd feel on any other bike. I'm facing bumper-to-bumper traffic daily during my commute (Bangalore roads are crazy). D; Our city is completely dug up, but the suspension takes care of all that. Honda has done a great job on this bike. I have no problems

Re: Smurfy - My Honda CB350 Ownership Review

Smurfy was on NICE road today, slowly stretching the wings. I wish the 1000 Kms came up sooner, so I can rip a bit.

Re: Smurfy - My Honda CB350 Ownership Review

Honda offered me some bar end weights, from their specialist range. These are imported from Japan and have a fab finish. Got those. Best part is, any bar end weights can be installed (I was told), as there is a provision. I'm happy with this now

My friend picked up his matte black CB350. I tried his brown seat on mine, just to check how it looks. What are the chances I'll get to do this again! What do you think guys, not bad huh!(My favourite TeamBHP sticker had come with frayed edges and I knew it was going to come off. Pulled that out and placed a CB350 Tank Pad)

Honda gave me this well crafted Brake Oil Reservoir cap in brushed steel. This is imported as well and looks really premium

The tank guard is very thick and should protect from scratches inflicted by my belt

Honda has sent out just one of these upper protection bars to Bangalore. My friend could not procure one, for his bike. It's quite strong and fits like a glove

The protective bar comes in two parts. That's the lower piece, again very strong

The gator cover to protect the fork from dust have arrived. And were fitted to my Smurfy

All these additions complete the front looks of my bike. Feels buff now

Bike looks really good with the additions @Sebring.
So what's the secret of getting the barend weight and other special items Looks like a lot of thought went in designing all these accessories. Hope Honda continues to provide more accessories in the coming days. Have you seen any bike with split seat?

Congratulations again for your beautiful smurfy.

Thank you Girish I really love riding this bike, and Honda has made a quality product. Hope this love affair lasts. Coming to the split seats, my friend has them but has not taken pics. It should be available this week. Will post a pic soon

That's the Honda app with full controls on the left handlebar, so you don't have to take your hands off to operate. That's on my friend's android phone

This is a first. Haven't seen a similar setup before.

The main crash-bars look nice. Shape wise as well as how they just out exactly enough and not more.

Cheers, Doc

The fork dust covers look snugly fit and am sure will serve their purpose very well. However, I must add that they take away the charm of the bright, shiny and chunky steel forks.

Also, I did notice that the design on the handlebar grips is similar to that of my 2005 Unicorn.

Happy and safe riding mate ! All the best with this beast !
