Re: Honda Brio : Test Drive & Review

Guys,

Today I started the car after 5-6 days and noticed an unusual "click" sound when releasing the clutch pedal. This is pretty audible "click" and is accompanied with a mild vibration/jerk sensation in the left foot and comes even when engine is shut off and pedal is released almost mid-way of the pedal travel. My Brio has done about 7200 kms only. No other problem with respect to gear changing and/or acceleration etc. Similar sound, albeit a little louder is experienced in Safari too, but, I have overlooked it so far (~30.6K kms) thinking usual Safari nuances.

Anyone has any idea?

tia,

-BJ

Re: Honda Brio : Test Drive & Review

Hi,
The sound you hear is of the release spring/bearing. It can be solved by simple application of silicon based lubricant. My service center in navi mumbai did that within a few seconds and for free.

Re: Honda Brio : Test Drive & Review

Hi all,
My brio is a OCT 2013 VX MT.
Did my 3rd service (12 months) yesterday. Odo reads 8568 kms.
Up until now I was under the impression that the first 4 services are free services. Turns out only the first 2 are. Is this correct. They billed me total of 5789/- which included Rs. 460 for anti rodent and pest control service.
The rest was for fluids, brake check, engine scan and cleaning(exterior) ,etc.
Is the price Rs. 5789 correct or did they charge me more? Also is are only the first 2 services free? What have your bills for the 3rd service been?
I shall upload a scanned copy of the invoice if anyone is interested.

Yes, only the first two are free. Looks like they took you on with the ant-rodent stuff.

Even I was surprised to know that Honda offers only two free services for their new cars!

Yes, only the first 2 services are free. For the 3rd service, they do not charge you for the service and labour alone and charge you for everything else.

Regards,
Amit

With the Brio this is the case. There is no one month service. With City, Civic etc it is three (one, three and six months).

Re: Honda Brio : Test Drive & Review

Thank you for your responses.
Yes, I realised that they took me for a ride for the pest/rodent control thing when I saw the price on the invoice. I guess all they did was spray some insecticide worth 10 bucks.

Please upload copy of the bill so that our fellow members can also become cautious while dealing with the same dealer.

During afternoons it takes a couple of minutes to cool down the cabin. I usually keep the AC blower on 2 and the thermostat on coldest setting when it is 30C + outside.

By low cooling do you mean the air throw getting reduced even with blower speeds being high? then it would mean the filters need cleaning.
