Re: Ford Aspire : Official Review

The upcoming 2018 Ford Aspire facelift has been spotted somewhere in Gujarat by a Motoroids reader.

Quote:
As seen in the photographs, the new Figo Aspire Facelift will feature a revised fascia with new bumpers, grille and headlight design. The compact sedan may also get some revision at the rear. The spied vehicle, with steel wheels and halogen headlight, appears to be the mid-variant of the compact sedan.
Interiors are expected to feature manual controls for the aircon and a floating infotainment display which made its debut with the facelifted Ecosport. The infotainment system will also get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. The changes would be brought to the Figo hatchback as well and we may see the new variants being launched around the same time.

Thanks for sharing this. It seems ford has replaced the grill within same dimensions as earlier. Any word on this?

That looks like the MyFord Dock inside, not a floating screen.

Re: Ford Aspire : Official Review

Spotted by a Motorbeam reader with new multi-spoke alloy wheels.

Quote:
The test mule spied is likely to be the top-end trim courtesy the alloy wheels. The multi-spoke alloy wheels look attractive on the Aspire and unlike before aren’t finished in black. Changes to the front fascia include a new honeycomb grille and a redesigned bumper while the tail-lights at the rear could get minor tweaks as well.
Coming to the cabin, though the layout of the dashboard remains the same, Ford has managed to bring some changes. The instrument panel gets a grained finish and there are chrome accents on the door handles, centre console and around the AC vents. Like the Ford Freestyle, the Aspire will also get the floating SYNC3 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Re: Ford Aspire : Official Review

Hi All, last night I noticed a water like liquid leaking from the front left corner (passenger side corner) in the stationary car. It was transparent and felt like water when I touched it. Today morning, it has dried up, but the spot has turned greenish.

Need some input here: Would it be fine to drive it to the service center or should I call roadside assistance?

Since you said that the color is greenish, it could be the coolant. Did you check the coolant level in your car?

Rather than calling up the RSA, try connecting with your SA or service engineer to see if it is safe to drive it down to the nearest service center.

Drive Safe,

Coolant color is not green on the Ford Aspire.

It would be better to have a peek under the car over the spot to check where exactly it dripped from, which would make it a bit more clear before starting the engine.
Can be AC condensation dripping for all you know.

Thanks for correcting me, tharian. Mine was a general suggestion but since you own an Aspire yourself, I'm sure that my guess was wrong.

Cheers,

Left corner is the windshield wiper fluid can in the engine bay.
The color must be from the soap mix in it. This is just a guess.

Let us know what it was actually.

Is your car a diesel or petrol?

Any idea when the new Diesel Aspire sedan will be launched. Asking because one of my friend is planning to buy one. So should he wait for a few weeks or go for the current model

If you are considering a petrol, then I would suggest to wait. Ford is most likely to plonk Dragon series engine and new gearbox. This engine has more power. Feature wise new aspire will get a touch screen head unit.

Thanks for the update but my friend will go for the diesel and most probably the titanium variant. So any idea of the expected date of launch?
